The Abbotsford Canucks have won their first ever Calder Cup after beating the Charlotte Checkers in game 6. Arturs Silovs the MVP and Linus Karlsson led the Canucks to victory, but it took a team effort for the team to win their first trophy in club history.

This really give me hopes for the Canucks next season and it’s so good seeing our top prospects win the cup

Yeah, you're right, Deaner. It may not be THE cup, but we have a championship now. Celebrate what you have. Those guys richly deserve it. Long-suffering fans can take pride.
I hope this leads to better coverage of the Abby team. I hope they spend more on their social media and improve their presence in the community.
Lastly, the Abby team guys have many in contention for a spot on the big team next year. Silovs, Blais, Karlsson, Sasson, and Mancini could all be seeing time in Vancouver. We haven't had that many guys on the verge in a long time. That pressure from the Abby squad could figure big in the next year.
Let's face it. Rutherford and Allvin need to hit a few out of the park. Low-priced players from Abby could make it possible to land some big fish.

True faundation of Canucks,future of Canucks can only improve. Big club has guys in ABBY for fall season. Karlson will endup on Chytil's right side. Blais on let you never know. D looks better than ever.
What this tells me is that the big club's management know what they're doing. They've just be hamstrung by ownership at the NHL level. They brought in a lot of these players who contributed to Abby's championship victory. But ownership didn't interfere with that for obvious reasons. The priority is getting Vancouver those 2 home playoff games, so they've been meddling like hell over 3 management groups to get them. But this is what can happen when have managers who know what they're doing and can bring in the right players without ownership telling them what to do.

The fact that it took the Abbotsford Canucks 3 years to win a cup is unacceptable! They should have won it in their first year!
If Karlsson and Blais aren't on the opening night roster next year, then something ain't right. Those 2 were awesome during the playoffs. Silovs was a brick wall. Silovs deserves at least a full time back up roll, if not a chance to start on another team.
