  1. Dangle is happy that everyone js back! A month ago he wanted them all out! WTF? This proves that the laughs fans are mentally ill. They deserve these chokers. Deja Vu in 2026.

  2. Another career wasted. How many good players are gonna throwaway their careers playing for the biggest joke of an organisation in the history of professional sports…

  3. One thing to note is that Knies' game isn't really the kind that ages well. If he signs for 8 years, there is a good chance that he has started declining noticeably going into UFA at age 30. Instead, he will be a UFA at 28 and likely still at or near his peak as a player. He can then really cash in for another 6 year deal.

I would take Knies over Bennet over the next 6 years and he is getting paid less.

  4. What about a tradetree for the trade Futur consideration for Sean Monahan. After 2 years lf Sean Monhan and pick that became Michel Hage and Noah Dobson…. can we say it was a good investisment ??? Just asking

  5. Fantastic deal for both player and team. Vegas just traded Hague to Nashville for Lozoun and Scissions, so the Leafs deal is done by overwise or revamped.

  6. now that he's signed – i have a jersey to buy. Knies this last season has been my favorite leaf forward hands down. So glad he's with us for a while.

  7. Have to say though Steve, I think the fact that the Leafs are the only team that won 3 games against the Cats in the 2025 play-offs is a big deal, I know you disagree, but that's my "take"….look for the Leafs in the EASTERN CONFERENCE final in 2026 – yup, I'm saying it, don't care if you think it's a jinx…Leafs are going further in 2026…I know this…am I still filled with fear, anxiety and dread?…of course I am, I'm a Leafs fan

  8. People always forget the AAV for offer sheet compensation is based on a 5 year deal. Even if it’s 7 year deal it’s the total value divided by 5 years. Easier to get up to the 11.7 range than it seems

  9. What if McJesus wants to come to the Leafs?….trade Marner and a throw-in player, maybe a draft pick…why not?

  10. I was hoping we got some offer sheet shenanigans, I genuinely think Knies was the only player this offseason other teams would want

  11. Habs fan here. That's an excellent deal! I'm sure he would've received at least one offer sheet this week!

  12. It would be so funny that after all these years of Ferris being such a dick to the Leafs the Leafs manage to return the favour and make him lose his job as an agent.

  13. Definitely not a team friendly deal like some delusional people here are saying. They aren't paying him for what he's done, thats for sure. They're banking on him improving immensely. Which he will probably do… But team friendly?? Give your head a shake you bums!😊 😂

  14. He's 23 in October. So he'd be UFA in 4 years, meaning this contract contains 2 UFA seasons.

  15. Things looks like they might be going pretty well this offseason for the leafs. Losing Marner, maybe for nothing, maybe not, doesn’t seem to be much of an issue right now.

  16. This was a bad term signing by Treliving it should of been 8 yr term not 6 yr for Knies Treliving gave in again 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
