I would like to validate your disappointment and need of distance from the team over the Q situation. I feel the same way. I think most people engaged in sports would say that doesn’t make us real fans, but I really think it is the exact opposite. Basic expectations regarding the morality, character, and accountability of the people who make up our organization is both important for our world and our ability to feel whole while supporting the team. I was also so hopeful for this to off season and have never felt more upset over the direction the team is taking, and we thought we had already seen the worst of this rebuild…
Gonna miss Z but will withhold judgment until roster is finalized.

This will go down as one of the most bonehead trades of all time. Zegras was so mishandled especially when compared to so many other players on our team. If this doesn’t pan out and we don’t land any big impact players then this season is going to be a rough one. How do we have guys like Strome, Lundestrom and Gudas still on the team and yet keep them over Zegras? It’s hard to be motivated with this roster

He never lived up to the hype. When you factor in production and injury, this was the right move. We got kreider for Z when you factor in the trades in both trades. Thanks Z, but farewell.

Z was a cool guy and provided some entertainment during our darkest years.
Ultimately, we never had any team success during his tenure so I won’t be attached to him after his departure.
Hopefully they don’t give him a Jumbotron tribute during a TV timeout when Philly comes to town.

I’m pissed too. Z was a breath of fresh air after our run in 2017 was crushed. He’s made Ducks hockey fun watching when he’s been on the ice. He will always have a special spot here in SoCal and a lot of our fandom favs

Im just gonna start calling him little ball of lies now. Dude is always saying one thing and letting his actions do the other. He needs to Atleast have the balls to say what he thinks and not what he thinks the fans want to hear.
I agree 100% with everything you said and am still in mourning. I naively never believed the rumors and am shocked Verbeek did this now. I'm boycotting all Ducks merchandise for at least a year, will probably never customize a jersey with a player's name and number again and won't bother to watch the draft for the first time since the Ducks last made the playoffs. If Verbeek doesn't hit some home runs in free agency and they miss the playoffs this year, he is a total bust of a GM. Even if they do actually start winning I will probably still hate him for how he traded Zegras. Only a future Stanley Cup as GM, as unlikely as it seems now, will earn forgiveness from me.
A lot of us feel the same way about the Coach Q hire and question whether we should continue to support the Ducks. Whatever (awful) decisions the Ducks organization makes, I’ve really enjoyed your channel and will continue to support it.
