Braves vs. Giants Game Highlights (6/6/25) | MLB Highlights
Well, the Giants ended up winning two great games against the Padres that propels them into this Friday night. Now, they’re taking on a very talented Atlanta Braves team seven games under 500. They blew a 10 to 4/9 inning lead at home yesterday. I still consider them very dangerous for the Giants will be Hong the 23 year old right handers, his fourth start start of the season up in the bullpen if you recall three and one with a 237, a with 40 strikeouts, 12 walks at 38 8. Now here’s a swinging strike, three, a high fastball on the inside. That was an exploding fastballs , got 10 home runs, 27 runs batted in. Always a threat swings hard, does not get cheated, shot out towards triples alley. Yassky is going to get there and that will end the inning. Is thinking, man, that’s a home run where I play on an absolute heater, right? Two games in a row, 11 strikeouts, no walks, absolutely dominant. He has been on point. They will need him tonight to continue to do what he’s been doing so well. Now the Giants Elliott Ramos, the leadoff against spencer Schwellenbach is still bouncer to short racing in a bareheaded pick up the throw over to first. It’s wide and goes into the dugout safe at first is Ramos and he’ll be awarded second base on the overthrow that went out of play. And now down at second base Ramos, here’s Jung Ho Lee who wraps his foot into right a base hit. What is Matt Williams gonna do? He’s gonna put up to stay there. So it’s a good thing. He’s 1st and 3rd. Nobody out. And here is Wilmer Flores. Wilmer Bloops one shallow right falling, falling. He hit right along the line. Ramos scores around a third. Jung who lead on a bloop RB I sinker Wilmer Flores, one to nothing. Giants pick up a run. They got three hits and they’ve only hit one ball hard of those three. So Chapman got the ball into the outfield but it was not deep enough to get Jung Ho Lee home. And here now is Dom Smith three hit game yesterday, including the game winning double out to center field. This should do it. Harris is back. Lee is tagging coming in to score Lee. It’s two. It is a great, great way to just keep momentum in your dugout and this is hardly going to plan. But what has gone to plan lately for the break and now the bases are loaded for Patrick Baylin in the dirt in front of the plate, it bounces in front of Murphy rolls off to his right up the first base line and everybody moves up a base. Flores scores three giants and another run for the Giants to make it three nothing and they’re scoring runs in every form imaginable here, early second walk given up by the last two games when he had 22 strikeouts, he didn’t walk anybody and now it is Flores’s the 22 pitch and he induces a swing and a miss of the splinter two strikeouts in the ball game. Now for Schwellenbach, it will be up to chapman who climbs in with runners at 1st and 2nd 2 out. Matt Chapman with a soft little bouncer on the third base line barehanded by Schwellenbach throws over to first base in time for the out two aboard. It’s a three nothing lead for the Giants into the top of the third inning and the Braves will send up Harris Allen and a swing and a miss strike three, put the 97 mile an hour heater right on the outside corner and he gets Harris swinging for out. Number 1 to 2 pitch is swung on and missed strike three. Got him with the curve, a bird nasty curveball there two outs back to back strikeouts for the young Giants right strikes out the side. The starting pitching has changed one guy out of rhythm. Now one guy in rhythm, tell you what he is way out of control right now. And Atlanta as the bases loaded without putting the bat on the ball. Young right hander Hayden Birdsong surrounded by Braves. No one out here’s alex Verdugo in 13 career games in this ballpark. He’s never homered. Boy, this will be a great time for his first and he turns on one and blasts one down the right field line and that is a foul ball was right at the pole deep down the line and apparently just barely fouled a grand slam, barely and it’s 0 to 2 on Verdugo pitch is swung on and missed strike three. Got him with the change up. The list of issues for the Braves of the plate has been a lengthy list but towards the top of that list has been the inability to make contact with men in scoring. Here’s sean Murphy swung on and hit in the air to right field coming in. Jastremski makes a test high catch tagging from third base. Olson. Here’s the third of the plate. A ball outside of the field of play comes into the play. Two balls come flying at the plate. Olsen scores and the Braves on the board and the Giants holding their hands up saying when the world just happened, the ball was coming to the plate one hopping from Yastrzemski and Then a ball out of nowhere came on to the field of play. The Braves do score after that strange sequence. So 3 to 1 and runners at 1st and 2nd. Now for Harris two, two whacked up the middle a base hit by Michael Harris. Ozuna gets a green light hits the bag at third, comes to the plate, throw out to center field , bang bang play and he’s in there down to second base for Harris as he is over to third base and it’s a one run game. Patrick Bailey leads off for the Giants bottom four that’s punched out the first great defensive pick by matt Olson diving to his right up on his feet, swelling on the back of a 3 1 ft out. That was special over there by Matt Olson. How in the world did he glove that? Yeah, he’s on another level over there defensively at first base this season leading the league by far and 13 defensive runs saved two up and two down and bounce around to first Olson’s got it under and toss of the bag swelling back there and down. They go 123 and maybe the tide starting to shift the Braves way in terms of momentum. So Cunha gets his first hit only the second hit of the game for Atlanta. And now here is Austin Riley, powerful right headed batter and pop up, going down the right field line foul ground is Don smith over near the sidewalk, makes the catch and he throws back to first and gets back. Giants fans are gonna love watching Dominic smith play defense and here’s a guy who’s only had three games in this environment and he’s not afraid to take on a rail. Smith knocked in the Giants second run of the game with a sacrifice fly in the first inning. Now he’s got a runner at third and one out here, also a runner at second out into right center field and Then a cunha makes the catch. Here’s the throw to third safe at third is chapman scoring as Flores and Dominic Smith with his second sacrifice fly of the night, but it is four to two Giants. A leadoff single for Austin Riley. Here is matt Olsen tying run with all his power and Olsen drives one to right field back and flies tan, a shooting star right out of the ballpark is tie the game. It’s a two run homer in the top of the seventh and we are back to even for the first time in 11 years. Craig Kimbrel takes the mound in a major league ball game in a Braves uniform. What a way to get your first two outs back in a Braves uniform, caught stealing and a pick off struggling to throw strikes. He’s got two down, struck him out and nothing for the Giants in the bottom of the seventh. Welcome back, Craig Kimbrel. This is the heart of this lineup and you’re facing three premier power guys. It’s power on power right now. Two straight strikeouts for Camilo and here is Ozuna as he struck out, he strikes out the side here in the ninth inning, a two out single by the number nine hitter. And that will bring Elliott Ramos to the plate three hits tonight leading. They picked up another one. Giants baserunning has been an Achilles Heel tonight and that will send us the extra innings. The Braves have loaded him up. Luke Williams will be the batter and now spencer Bivens is on the pitch count 3 to 2, 30 9000 plus on their feet. It is a broken bat, slow roller to third charging Chapman has it throws to first just by a half a step. So the Giants keep the Braves from scoring two down over to third base for Tyler Fitzgerald. Now the bat in the hands of Wilbur Flores and it’s up to Pierce Johnson to find a way to get him out, winning run at third with two down CJ. And that’s how the Giants win the game, another walk off win for the Giants and they win the first game of this series and they win it on a two out two strike wild pitch of all things. Final score. The Giants beat Atlanta 5 to 4.

"If you're gonna look like a bunch of idiots, at least look good doing it"
That was some super terrible form by the catcher. What was he doing? His lack of technique made it so that he couldn't possibly block that ball. He cost his team the game. He should never do that again and if he ever does that lack of form again he should be immediately benched.
How was that not called a grand slam? You lose the ball behind the foul pole for a second. I'm a Giants fan and I don't see how that wasn't a grand slam. I'm glad it wasn't, but how?
Wow the Giants have been pulling off last minute wins a lot this year 😮😂
Where did the extra ball come from??
It’s always our pitching that cost us
Calling it Giants Sweep the Braves and Rockies 🧹 and then the dodgers.
I love the Giants my favorite player is Matt Chapman
Whoever threw that ball on the field💀💀💀💀
Braves loss yesterday …snitker has proven he’s not worthy of his paycheck…coaches and players should be paid based on performance with bonuses ie batting titles or cy young awards…braves are lazy ..plenty of a ball players eager to run out ground balls.
Harris swinging after ball is in catchers glove and he has a contract..go figure!
Howmany times Alex ANTHOPOLOUS has to be told you DONT PITCH JOHNSON WITH RUNNER ON THIRD BASE AND THROW A BREAKING PITCH..OMG..FUNDAMENTALS SNITKER DOESNT HAVE …HOPES OF LONGBALL EVERY GAME NEVER A MANUFACTURED RUNNER TO MOVE OVER NEVER…ALWAYS WAITING ON A HR..FIRE SNIT ESPECIALLY KRANITZ.
From now on – there's no real need to watch all of these highlights. Just go to the end and see how the Braves choke away every game they're in now.
Welcome back Craig Kimbrel!!!
Let’s go braves please win today boys
I'm glad the highlight video shows the umps taking away a comeback grand slam from Verdugo. It was clear as day fair. It bounced off of the brick pillars left side of the foul pole. And the camera angle from foul territory shows the ball disappearing behind the pole. Its disgraceful that they missed this at the top level of sports.
The epitome of the entire season. Can’t hit with runners in scoring position, bullpen implodes again and a clueless mgr. Even in 3021 I always said the Braves won in spite of Snitker, not because of him. You let Freddie Freeman, Max Fried, William Contreres and Dansby Swanson walk, replace them with no one even close to their talent and think everything will be just fine. Team is owned by a company, not an individual, so they spend according to whether or not their stockholders are making money. I just don’t see it getting better.
Who was the idiot who threw the baseball onto the field?
Who let those Brave fans sit behind home plate
Another day suffering from being a Brave
I love ❤
Atlanta DFA'd Blewett for one bad outing but the Braves insist on keeping Iglesias and Snitker around. Being a lifelong Braves fan since the 90's, it's absolutely infuriating to see how lazy and careless Snitker and the front office (Anthopolous) have been.
Braves need pitching help
이정후 점점 밀려나는건가….감독의 믿음이 점점 사라지는게 보인다…
let’s go
ryan walker been getting abused lately

I will continue to say this as long as I breathe. As a former collegiate catcher, prior to the days that every single catcher transitioned into having a knee down as a new adopted style (which I was hesitant about accepting at first, but now I can see the value in saving knees in the long haul of being a career catcher), but for the LOVE OF GOD, when there are runners on base (AND ESPECIALLY WHEN THE GAME IS ON THE LINE), can you freaking get off your damn knees and get in the ready stance to be a freaking brick wall behind the plate? Like how high so the statistics need to rise with so many past balls since this "one knee down" adoption, before these pro athlete catchers can get off that one knee and be prepared to be more nimble in these game clinching situations already? This is ridiculous!!!
Pierce Johnson lost it again the next day
There’s some really bad baseball being played all around the league last few days lol. Must be that first wave of summer heat getting to the boys.
I went to this game, foul ball was 2 rows away😭
Braves better
