  1. I hope they don't take a goalie in the 1st or 2nd Rounds. Brian Finley (6), Chet Pickard (18), Magnus Hellberg (38), Jeremy Smith (54), and Jan Lasak (65) well in mind over the years. Yaroslav Askforatrade (11) is TBD. 🤷 In fact, of the 29 netminders drafted by the Preds in their history, only those in later rounds have gone on to have a decent NHL career. In order of NHL games played (draft pos.), that includes Pekka Rinne (258), Juuse Saros (99), Karel Vejmelka (145), Anders Lindback (207), and the rest are below 40 games. In order of importance to the future of the franchise, it should be the elusive franchise centerman, a right-handed defenseman, and then go from there. Honestly, with this draft class, I question whether it's better to retain the three firsts for increased probability unless Misa somehow falls and it is attainable to trade up, sure. Highly unlikely.
