Let's see what the final product is on the ice come early October, but as of now, it doesn't look very promising. Just a few seasons ago, we were told that kings had an abundance of defensemen. So they gave or traded away several for peanuts or to get rid of bad contracts. Now it seems kings are desperate for defense. I'm not exactly sure what is going on here.
It will be a crushing blow to lose Roy and Gavrikov for nothing, but that looks like it will happen.
First victim of Jim Hiller and with his apparent ego problem, he will ruin the team with many more. Huge mistake trading a young defenseman with lots of upside and a right handed shot and your franchise defenseman near retirement. I completely agree with you Eddie. Very stupid trade and someone has enough brains to think beyond tomorrow knows it. Mark my words, this move will cost the Kings dearly in the near future, especially if Gavrikov leaves. Remember people, Spence asked for a trade because of Hiller. What happens when this story gets repeated in the future?

He did say, Spence is 5,11 185lbs.. He wants to get bigger, a player who can clear the crease easier

I don’t get the Spence trade and previous situation, he barely got to play the first 5 games and when he finally got to play in game 6 he was our best player and almost forced a game 7 with his goal .
