The Anaheim Ducks have made a powerful statement at the 2025 NHL Draft, selecting towering forward Roger McQueen with the 10th overall pick! McQueen was once seen as a top 5 prospect in this year’s draft, but falls to the double digits in the draft order due to a lingering back injury.
McQueen, a 6’5″, 197-pound right-shot center from the Brandon Wheat Kings, is a true power forward. He combines elite quick hands, a deceptive shot, and impressive mobility for his size. Despite missing significant time due to a back injury this past season, he showcased his potential in limited games (10 goals, 10 assists in 17 WHL games) and should remind Ducks fans of team legend Ryan Getzlaf.
