    So essentially, the way the Panthers are ran in the FO is the same way that Pat Riley and the Miami Heat are also run. That place is so sealed and plays things to the chest that if anything got out, someone's ass is on the line.

    As a Panthers fan from the very beginning, I am not surprised. The league and its management have always hated the Panthers and their hatred has only intensified due to the wrong team from the wrong location winning two Stanley Cups in a row! If we judge results only, then Bill Zito blows away Dallas GM Jim Nill, who only beats Zito in one area: his tenure with the team! Zito has three conference titles and 2 championships, Nill has one conference title and that’s it. To me, this is a political decision since it’s clearly not merit based. Maybe the league still considers the Texas team as the Minnesota North Stars and remember that they originally came from the north! Truly disgusting and disgraceful! Zito could have two or three more rings by 2030 and they still wouldn’t declare him GM of the year! FFH, maybe I’m being biased and hard, but am I wrong?

    How do you know your team is not going to take a chance on anything and will follow the Good Ol' Boys GM handbook? Your GM wins the GM of the Year Award every year. The GMs vote internally, it's ridiculous pat each other on the back award.

    Pasta is a great player but, thanks but no thanks!! There were rumours during the season that Pasta and Marchand had a feud for not trying hard enough. Besides, this team is perfect and if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!!!

    Who the F did dallas bring onto their roster within the last two years that compares to ANY of the last 3 or so years of waiver steals, trade steals or crazy discounted extensions the panthers have signed. this is a joke. the first year… ok, the second year…. ehhhhhh not great, but this year!!!!!!!! stfu its a joke. Bill Zito is the best GM in the NHL…. PERIOD!

    Only deal I think we would even be thinking about if we traded for Pasta would be Ekky and ERod and a ton of picks, but there is no way Boston agrees to that.

    I'm a Bruins fan…happy for Marchy btw, was pulling for him 110% This is the first I've heard of the Pasta rumor, and it's absolutely ridiculous, LOL. Lundell, Forsling and some other dudes? At Pasta's caliber you're talking Barkov or Tkachuk going to the Bruins…it just makes zero sense for either side. There's a lot of other teams where it would make sense for them to offer a package, and might make sense for Pasta since the Bruins are kind of in limbo right now. But I don't think he's quite at the point in his career yet where he's getting impatient.

    Regular season awards are dumb as hell. Just be thankful we aren't stuck with a team that chases regular season achievements/records.

    They probably did this with Bowman when he was winning Cups. Same goes for Sullivan and Cooper. The NHL doesn’t like it when teams win multiple Cups. However Zito had to deal with a roster with tons of injuries in the regular season. He might have not won the award but absolutely he should be at least nominated.

    I think Boston would want something very impactful in return, and that might mess the chemistry up. Doubt Pasta would be worth it. Trading Lundell would be madness.
