It's obvious to anyone that understands and recognizes gifted hockey players that this was an easy choice for the islanders organization. What impresses me is his humility and determination to move forward in spite of the most difficult times imaginable. That is most impressive. Respect.
This kid went to my high school and I couldn't be more proud. Such a great person and tremendous character. To have gone through so many tragedies that would break most individuals but remain strongly driven is absolutely amazing. Go get em' I will definitely buy your jersey in support.
