  1. Badly mismanaged 2025 draft by KD. Great draft if you are building a basketball team but a competitive NHL team?? Not so much. Vaclav Nestrasil was a reach at No. 25 and is very raw – will take 1 or 2 years longer to reach the NHL than other prospects who were available at No. 25 (Malcolm Spence, Blake Fiddler, and especially Lynden Lakovic). Mason West is the same story – would have been available in the 2nd round and there was no need to trade up and surrender both 2nd round picks to get him. IF KD had played his cards correctly, he could/should have drafted either Lynden Lakovic or Malcolm Spence at No. 25 and either Milton Gastrin or Blake Fiddler at No. 34. If he truly wanted a super tall prospect like Nestrasil or Mason West both would probably have been available at No. 34.

  2. The more that I look at these picks Kyle Davidson is doing pretty good job Anton time line is soon with the hawks and West and Nestrasil are a down the road which gives us time to see about Vanacker and Boisvert and others we drafted he is building stability in our organization look at prospects on defense we have depth we have wingers who can score in Lardis and the kid from Russia and now we have high end potential in power forwards Kyle I see the vision.
