  1. Hell of a trade for the habs, can't believe they didn't have to give up one of their top prospects

  2. Like the deal a lot but where does that leave us with Hutson's contract? Are we looking at 11 or 12 mil a yeah?

  3. Kent Hughes is a fucken genius 🤣🤷🏼‍♂️

Opened up a spot on the 4th line for hage, beck or kapenen and got us a big right handed defensemen which was NEEDED. They just need a 2nd liner center unless they plan on keeping dach for 1 last try.

The lines as of right now

    Caufeild Suzuki Slafkovsky
    Laine Dach Demidov
    Anderson Evans Gallagher
    Hage Dvorak Newhook

    Hutson Dobson
    Ghule Carrier
    Matheson Xhekaj (reinbacher)

    Monty
    Dobes

  4. Yzerman needs to be fired… redwings are and embarrassment… if I was Larkin I would demand to be traded to a team that cares.

  5. 16th overall was acquired from Calgary – Monahan as a sweetener to take on his contract
Heineman was a return also from Calgary – in the Taffoli trade

So in essence the only thing Hughes gave up here is their own 17th overall

Thank you Calgary Flames for the 66.66% equity on this deal

  6. Habs starting to load up on big bodies in the defensive core .. sprinkle in a little sass with Hutson .. The future could get interesting.

  7. Wow the Islanders should get help for gambling. This was great for Montreal. Just Wow. I really like Noah. And he will look so good in Montreal.

  8. And when the Habs fans groan and grumble when Dobson crumbles in the D zone and costs you games…😂

    Good move for both team

  9. This is a very VERY stupid trade for the Canadiens. Unless they are planning on moving out Hutson. Theres ZERO reason why they needed ANOTHER puck moving top PP guy. Execially for that kind of money. This willl actually hinder the Canadiens moving forward. Will hamper their ability to ice a competitive team. Theyre gunna have to pay Hutson North of 7.5M per season after next season. So theyre really gunna be sitting after this season with Contracts of Suzuki Caueild both around 8M Slaf around 7.5. , Dobson 9.5, Hutson 7.5M+This was a HUGE mistep by the habs IMO. IMO they needed a different type of defencman then Dobson. To me they should have used their Picks and prospects to go out and get a guy like Colton Parayko . I dont now about this one at all…..Not for the value wise but just the fit.

  10. Funny how he's the player EA selected to be the reward for this week HUT Champs LOL getting him 4 sure.

  11. The Habs right defence are now among the strongest in the league (assuming Reinbacker and Maillous join from Laval).

  12. Malkin is on the last year of a contract and they won.t be renewing it. Malkin is Demadovs Russian idol and would be the ultimate mentor for 1 or 2 years. 70 PLUS POINTS FOR MALCQN and the best and cheapest mentor. Trade 5 .5m for ANDERSON TRADE AND Malcons 6 million fits perfectly….. 2c or not to see

  13. Dobson is a good player. It is interesting to see how many people think Dobson is some ridiculous talent. He’ll be great in your top 4. He’s not a top pair. Struggles insanely defensively on the rush and although he’s a big guy, he plays relatively small.
