didn't know too much about him, didn't even know about his mom, but i'm rooting for him, he may be a pro hockey player now, he may be the number one draft pick, new face of the new york islanders, but at the end of the day he's still a kid who had to navigate losing his mom, i hope he goes out there and makes his entire family proud

8am and I’m sobbing. I’ve never been into hockey but our local college team was in the tournament this year so it got me watching some games. I’ll be watching this guys career for sure.
