  1. What's exceptional (but not overly unexpected these days) is that 3rd in 5 on 5 stats for a kid… That is kept track of, at that level. Also… dude's name sounds like a stuffed animal from the 80's.

  2. I can't remember the production stat but he beat out Tij Iginla and Cayden Lindstrom and those guys went much higher in their draft.

  3. you guys are all high on him, yet you all had him 4 or 5 in your preferred picks lol. Sounds like he's not at all the guy you wanted the wings to take

  4. I had the exact same wish list as Ryan. I was disappointed at the not taking of Eklund or Smith. Hope I'm wrong, and Bear is better than both.

  5. 50 shifts/game? There's 3600 seconds in a game. That equals 80 shifts of 45 seconds. Divide that with 4 lines and a middle 6 forward will maybe get 20 shifts per game

  6. I hear you guys talking about "the Yzerman type," about almost an over-emphasis on competitiveness, on "four lines that will piss you off and still score." Are we watching the same team? The Red Wings are in year nine of the rebuild, not particularly skilled, and one of the softer, easier teams to play against. When is it coming?

  7. The fact that they made this pick instead of using it in a trade is yet another failure to add to Yzermans already long list. We wont see him for 4 years and we will be regressing next season because Yzerman can't properly fill out a roster. Peterka? Nah. Dobson? Nah. No we need more kids to bury for years. The fact that so many fans still think Yzerman is doing a good job just shows how little many Wings fans know about hockey. Regression coming next year. We will finish 2nd last in the division. What are you Yzerman fanbous going to say after that happens?

  8. I really like what I see out of him I see it like this when it comes eklund being passed over normally they draft the Swedes when available but when you got Andersen Kronwall who helps scout and Lidstrom whose the vp of hockey operations and to a lesser extent zetterberg scouting him and they all passed there’s a reason why they all said no
