To me, Detroit is almost done with their rebuild. They are only lacking a top 4 LD. A prospect like Anton Silayev comes to mind that would be ideal fit to fill that final spot. I expect all of these prospects to make it to the NHL in 4-5 years. These are Detroit's top prospects that have a good track record so far.
Unless you sign some free agents July 1, the season will be a bust, again. I have a sneaking hunch that we will have the same exact roster again this year and be saying "we like our team."
I feel like fans are having some knee-jerk reactions to not getting Dobson. Dobson plays the same position as Seider, was asking for more money than Mo. The move didn’t make sense for the Wings. A solid free agency puts this team in the playoff conversation.
None of the losers in these comments have managed the team during its lowest times in the franchise, you all are fans. That is it. Support and watch or just don't, go support a silly little Mammoth in Utah if you don't want to support the Wings as they go into their 100 years of proud history. You don't coach the boys, you don't manage the team. Let those who do that do it with complete focus.
