  1. Martone is projected to fall a bit, so you can take him further than 3 for sure, so a trade is more likely for him and can get more asset. And honestly, I'd feel better with Martone than Frondell personally, even if there's more to work with Martone (especially speed and unlocking him). I'm still on the Misa train, but I personally feel Misa > Martone > Frondell personally. Heck, even V.Eklund I could digest for the type of player we don't have, good story with the brother. I just hope if we don't take Misa, to trade down

  2. Montreal got Dobson, so that means they get Shaeffer. They also got 2X 1sts for the deal and will pick mid range and scoop up more D

  3. Yes!!!!
I’ve been saying we need a ring of honor! Pavelski, Nabby, couture, Nolan, Vlasic Burns, etc should be in a ring, not retired jerseys

  4. Finally!!! I agree that they lean Misa from what all the rumors are saying. I will be very happy with that. My biggest point of interest is the 30th pick. Will they move up to get a prospect like Fiddler? I hope so.

Like many have said, with the Dobson trade Schaefer is 100% an Isles prospect.

  5. JD, I appreciate your tribute to Pickles. He was a core piece of that long playoff stretch. And if Defense truly is for nerds, then Pick;les was the nerdiest….Only great memories of #44 for this fan…….

  6. Vlasic being bought out also means he can sign with someone else and make another go of it. It's a win/win. Vlasic can still play and skate, but he's not what he once was. He can take a league minimum deal and play 1 season in Florida or Toronto or Tampa or Carolina or Vegas, wherever, and be a locker room presence and veteran. Sad to see the end of an era, but excited about the next one on the horizon.

  7. I'm excited the 2nd pick. Frondell brings size and he also played against men in Sweden. I liked that Misa played with Igor. I would be happy with either or
