Why would St Louis trade Kyrou and what will they ask in return?
My best guess is that Armstrong is using the last few days before Kyrou’s NTC kicks in to see if anyone wants to overpay for him in a huge deal. It’s also true the Blues are pretty deep at wing, and need center or defensive help.
Some people in St. Louis think he doesn’t grind hard enough on the boards, but I think he’s become responsible enough defensively that it doesn’t matter very much. I’d really miss watching him play if they traded him.

I'm from St. Louis. Even though Kyrou has picked up his D a smidgen, he's still a liability with the puck. He doesn't hit anyone. He ren into DeBrincat of the Red Wings last year & that's the only memorable hit i recall of his (he's softer than melted butter)… That said, it would take a massive overpay to pry him out of Army's hands, believe me. Army is shrewd and cunning, and he knows value…The Blues D is aging, but they were above average last year…Could they use a retool on D ? Absolutely…Does Montreal have a surplus of D men ? Absolutely …Does Montreal have a spare right handed D-man ? Doesn't seem likely if they to, are also shopping for Dobson…
Personally, if they're going to trade Kyrou, I'd like to see them get Necas from the Av's. That would require an extension at a reasonable rate (8.5 – 9M) for at least the 6 years left on Kyrou's term. Necessary apparently wants out of Colorado, so to me, a straight up, extended term on Necas, is the better fit for both teams.

Kyrou is either loved or hated by blues fans. Imo kyrou doesn't fit with how the team plays and is worthless defensively. The 70 points are nice but if you get a 60 pt guy and 10 less goals go in because him its worth it. But I've seen other people talk about him like he's McDavid and should get the c from schenn. Depends which one Armstrong and steener are is if he gets traded.
