I’m a diehard Florida Panthers fan and I’ve always loved Connor mcDavid. He is a respectable hockey player who is just passionate about the game and plays the right way so I couldn’t be more happier to play them again in the Stanley Cup finals because win or lose, I would be happy to see Connor McDavid lift that cup, he deserves it more than anything , though I still hope we win, but like I said, I wouldn’t be mad at all

Indeed, see a similar dynamic with McD/Draisaitl in the Toews/Kane unraveling of the Hawks (who at least won three Cups to this version of the Oils' zero before the window of opportunity closed), a case of putting too much $ into your top players, too many of your eggs into one basket.
We need more Canadian players to hold strong in Canada. Getting a little tired of watching them travel from Florida to represent Canada in the olympics. I get it money talks. We haven’t won the cup in over 30 years though. Some tough boys need to gut it on their home soil until that’s rectified. I’m sick of having to cheer for the oilers as a flames fan, just to bring the cup to Canada. I so badly want to go back to talking smack… coilers 💩
Conner McD is inncredible……I remember when he came back from a potentially career ending injury after Giordano creamed him into the goal post, I gained even more respect for him and what he had to do to get himself back to the level of hockey player he is. I hope he wins a Stanley Cup some day, not every great player does (remember Iginla…)
