  1. If I remember correctly you’re from Halifax. Will you be going down town when Marchand brings the cup home?

  2. McDavid trade proposal:
    Kings get: Connor McDavid
Oilers get: Trevor Lewis, Bronny James, Second round Pick
    Who says no?

  3. That Toews signing is wild I know Winnipeg has trouble attracting free agents but Toews is from there and I can't believe that in all likelihood they end up paying 5mil plus for a bottom 6 center (likely 4C once Lowry is back). No guarantee he's even NHL quality and wouldn't be surprised if he isn't which honestly given all the bonuses might be best for Winnipeg

  4. The Washington State no state tax is kinda misleading. They nailed you with taxes on everything they can think of, especially in the city of Seattle…

  5. What kind of contract do you think Bouchard is getting in EDM? I feel like it's one of the most important players for them to sign smartly because of how they'll need to construct their roster for the next few years, assuming they're adding some more depth. How do they not overpay for their top players while also ensuring they don't just have a bunch of league minimum 3rd/4th liners?

  6. Toews is a crazy contract.
We are talking about a player that was a 3rd or 4th line center when he last played, and that was 2 years ago.
Looks like a desperation move by the Jets, knowing nobody else wants to sign in Winnipeg?

Haula is a pure cap dump, Nash has plenty of cap space.
So is Marchment, really good deal for Seattle, they get a physical guy that can score.
And if it doesn´t work, 50% retained and a deadline asset.

  7. I have a new idea for a trade for your deal or no deal series

I’m a die heart Bruins fan and have heard some rumours that the Isles want Hagens with the 7th overall pick this year

That being said I think a fair trade that could go down as a block buster would be:

Islanders revive: Pavel Zacha, Hampus Lindholm, 2026 4th round pick, and 2025 7th overall

Bruins receive: Calum Ritchie, Romanov, Jean Gabriel-Pageau, 2025 2nd round pick, and a 2026 first round pick (via Colorado)

I think this is a win win. The Isles get their guy James Hagens who is probably still available and Zacha to fill in the 2nd line center until Hagens is ready, plus you get a pretty good #2 d-man and a early fourth rounder to put the cherry on top. The bruins get Ritchie as a replacement for missing out on a Hagens, O’Brien, or Desnoyers. The B’s also get a good third line center in JGP, a Decent defensive minder d-man, a mid to late first rounder, and a early 2nd this year.
