To Islanders
Number two overall pick
Sam Dickinson
Sharks unprotected first round pick 2026
Here me out on this. From an Islanders standpoint, they'd clear around $16-$17 million in cap space, still end up with Misa, Dickinson, and maybe have a shot at McKenna next season. Sharks have $44 million in cap space and can take two of our bad contracts, and they get a top defense pairing in Schaefer & Dobson. Isles would then have the money to go out and try to sign Ehlers and Boeser. Okay, bring it on.
I realllyyy don't think it's wise to trade Dobson for Hagens, it's gotta be a good deal.. he will make his way here later on anyway, we'll see what happens.

JJ Peterka to Utah makes sense from a Buffalo point of view. I have to think that Buffalo wants to make the playoffs before the year 3000. So a trade of a disgruntled but very talented player to a Western Conference team makes sense from a Buffalo point of view (and is a Buffalo point of view going over Niagara Falls in a barrell?)
Trading Dobson is completely asinine. Stupid, stupid, stupid to trade him for an unknown who hasn't played an NHL game. It is colossally STUPID. The type of deal that Milbuiry ruined the franchise making.
If Hagan’s keeps falling in the draft, why do we need him? Just because he’s from here? I want THE BEST PLAYERS WE CAN GET, not the best promo package!
