I don't see the Flyers taking him at #6, he seems to be more like a 8 to 10 pick. Would I like him in Philly, sure, but I think they're going with O'Brien or Hagens. That's assuming Martone, Frondell, & Desnoyers go earlier.
Got to watch Martin play a few times with the greyhounds, he’s a surprisingly quick skater with good puck skills, shot and great physicality.. with that being said, if Hagens, Martone or Desnoyers are available.. take one of them over Martin.
You don't draft "physicality" with the 6th overall. You add veterans with that skill set when you have a chance to do well in the playoffs (ie: Bennett)
' uniquely heavy and frequent hitter. He slams opponents into the wall and throws them to the ice before chasing down the next victim. He battles hard, ' Nope, they won't take him. I'm guessing a 5' 9' 160lb'r outta sweden. Soft as a vanilla cone…you got any of them?
I changed my mind I want Martin at 6 after getting Zegras
I’m unapologetically on the Martin train especially since the Zegras hire. Can’t coach a lifelong mentality. Also, he wasn’t some rich boy spending summers in multi thousand dollar camps. He was working. So, imho any improvements need made, he’ll work 8 hrs a day; not just 45 minutes then onto the buffet. Plus, his shots elite. Can get in heavy on the forecheck, Mich can dance, set him up. Also Martin is an above average passer
I'd love to see Flyers draft him at 6 if possible.
I wanna see the Flyers win the cup and we will need Martin in the playoffs.
Utah might take him at 4 and Bruins will grab him at 7.
Only way they should take him is if Anton Frondell, Caleb Desnoyers and James Hagens are off the board.
