We loved mangiapane in Washington, he is a solid player, caps have a few young guys taking a step next year that can do the same as AP. AP had to play up and down the lineup because caps need a consistent 3rd line center that hurt his production.
If they are gonna give Bouchard his payday, convert him to a forward. Could become a lesser version of Draisaitl from the wing with his shot. And best of all he’d no longer be on defense. A much lower paid defenseman could accomplish more on defense with less gaffs. Solves 2 problems IMO.
