  1. I'm so pissed, are you telling me that Montreal couldn't offer Buffalo something better than Utah for JJ Peterka 🤷🙄🤦

  2. I would add Jared Davidson to your list. And these REALLY hidden gems: Bogdan Konyushkov, Vinzenz Rohrer, and Sam Harris.

  3. Even though it’s been a slow rumour week, I do appreciate that you guys have given us some interesting topics to chew on. So thank you for that.

  4. Disappointed losing out jjp. I see the strategy on moving him far, far away, and future power forward stud.

  5. Unless Florian gains a measure of quickness, he will never be more than a bottom line, fringe player. If gains that lacking element of quickness, he will be, at a minimum, a Nick Paul level type of player. Florian has always been an underrated player (probably adversely influenced by his older rother's notoriety). But what most people don't know is that Florian in his last year in the OHL played the half boards / right point on the Bulldogs' power play. This is no mere bottom line physical thug. He already has NHL straight forward speed. But Florian needs to add quickness because the NHL game is played in 5 to 10 square foot contested areas/zones where quickness, edgework and balance is at a premium.

  6. I see Florian Xhekaj eventually take the role that Josh Anderson has recently embraced. Bottom 6 body checking PK specialist that can give you the odd goals, maybe even reach 15-20 at some point, if he continues his development

  7. So a 4th line of Xhekaj – Beck – Rorher ?? Nice to know that possibility. What about Davidson? (13th forward??).

Konyushkov will be as much as a wild card than Engstrom is. Those 2 defenseman are complete draft steal to me. I wish to see a Guhle – Konyushkov future 🙂

Cannot wait to them to fulfill their projection!

  8. The Montreal Canadiens need to find players like Tom Wilson, who essentially knocked the Habs out of the playoffs on his own in the first round. That’s why they should bring someone like Florian Xhekaj into the lineup and aim to draft a talent like Brady Martin.

  9. I rate Engstrom a 2/10 I have no use for him he is imo barely useful in Laval let alone in MTL.
I do agree that Florian has some value but imo his skating is simply not good enough to achieve what he wants to do at a higher level. When he commits to a deep forecheck he will not be able to get back and check so I just don't see him making an impact w/o improved skating.

What is severely lacking in modern hockey is IQ I see tons of skating and skill but almost zero hockey IQ.The best example is shooting most players have no clue how to score they just blindly shoot at the net.Caufield DOES get it he does know how to shoot score and why he is effective as a small one dimensional player.
Goalies are lol to me IDC one iota about goalies because ALL of them play identical dropping to the knees and guessing.
IMO MTL has no guaranteed future stars Hage is a maybe I do like his potential but I need to see players in BIG game situations like world tournaments and versus the best not just regualr seasons that are full of soft spots.
So looking at Hage he was a -9 in his first year second worst on the team. His team lost in the first round and his team was loaded with aged players I think I counted 3 23 year old players.Hage's linemate top scorer was their 23 yr old and he had a +5 so imo Hage is not showing me impact ability.Yes I have seen a bit of his live game there are some things to like but so far i just don't see a future impact player.
McKenna was a +60 LEADING his team in all categories and took them to the memorial cup and his team was not loaded with aged players yes some 20 year olds but no 23 year olds mostly 19 year olds.
