The Vancouver Canucks today traded for Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane for a 4th round pick. The move from GM Patrick Allvin sparked an interesting reaction from Canucks fandom…. what are your thooughts on the trade?

Good move, can't over pay a free agent this summer and is didn't cost anything essentially. The free agent pool isn't good this year, this was a smart move
I thought we are looking for a center that can win face offs. Like a gritty guy. With " Mr. whistle Kane " in the fold we are going to have to win the faceoffs in our zone short handed a lot.
wowzee wowzee woo woo….Deaner the downer….how can the Canucks lose on this trade? A 4th, what are the odds of getting a decent player in the 4th, in what they call a shallow draft? Kane is going to be motivated this next year. He wants a new contract, he is coming off injuries that gave his body time to heal, his history shows he always has a good 1st year with a new team……this could end up being a steal for the Canucks, even if it is for a year or 2 or 3……
Millers 32
so bad, nobody believed it
They should be mad, look at his past, and teammates that have not been supportive of his trades, not trade TRADES.Good luck Vancouver, trade T J.Miller, and two seasons later, this is an upgrade?
I posted a question on r/canucks asking "who's contract is worse, EP40 or Evander kane"
The post got IMMEDIATELY removed by the mods
Love it!
We need the cap space to sign a top player.
Degenerate self confessed gambling addict , and on and on ! Yup no cup again this year!
He only has 1 year left on his contract…so what could be the worst that could happen 😅
Kane is a garbage human being. But a good hockey player.
Im very torn about this.
Do you think the Canucks will trade Elias Petterson
As someone living in Vancouver and a Canucks hater, this just incentized me to hate them more
It's just okay.
The Oilers dumped kane for a FOURTH round pick. He.s is a POS, the biggest cheap shot artist, will never fight and can divide any locker room faster than any player in the league. What a LOSER
oh wow; stanley cup for sure next season!
Low-risk, high-drama move by the Canucks.
I think that they’ve now brought in Kane they need a singer to replace boeser so I think he’s gone which is very sad
He's worst then miller he's a locker disruptor. The one calling the canuck calls are a total mor0n.
Who cares… Canucks already won a cup. Why do people even care anymore?
Now offer a contract to the other Vancouver man. Milan Lucic on a tryout basis . That duo solves your grit and toughness. Where is Milan these days ?
Yes it was a choice, a very bad choice. Let’s see how he handles his first losing streak. He’s going from a Stanley Cup finalist to a team that probably won’t make the playoffs.
They do say having kids changes you…. Not sure how I feel about 5.1 aav
I think his attitude in the last game vs the Panthers in the finals was very telling that this guys attitude and action can cost us a playoff opportunity.
Do your homework Deaner. Oiler players loved him, fans loved him and he was active in the community.
The baggage issues are way in the past.
I don't get this….? It doesn't seem like a good trade at all. And all the controversy that comes with Kane… assault and harassment charges, gambling debts and bankruptcy, NHL game betting allegations, domestic violence and sexual assault allegations, violation of NHL COVID-19 protocols…and they got rid of JT Miller for HIS behavior?
Evander Kane still has a gambling problem. He's in deep with the local Edmonton casinos. It is undoubtedly one of the contributing factors on why he's leaving.
The chances of that 4th round pick becoming an NHL player is low. Top 6 forward that brings toughness to the Canucks lineup, if he can score 25-30 goals I'm happy.
It's gonna be great to see a home town boy lift the Cup at rogers arena next year 🏆
