Naoya inoue isn’t doing the nick ball route because his dad said recently inoue could out point and be undisputed in featherweight but he knows his son and he’ll want to do it by knockouts and brawling which he can’t do at featherweight with his current frame
Great job brother. I dont see the point in doing the Picasso fight unless Inoue aint moving to 126 and will instead stay there and do the Junto fight, if thats the case then I dont mind it at all. And I agree I dont see Naoya moving to 126 as a necessity he can just do his thing and see Junto. God Bless you bro
As a Japanese boxing fan, I have to say I’m honestly disappointed with this matchup. 😮💨
I get that it would be risky for Inoue to move from 122 to 126 and back down again just to face Junto Nakatani next spring.
But if that’s the case, I think it would’ve been better for him to skip a December fight altogether and focus on rest and training instead.
That said, I guess there’s no avoiding it with all the money involved in the Riyadh Season.
The MJ fight will likely be the peak of Inoue’s 2025.
Unfortunately, December looks like it’ll just be a tune-up bout for the Monster.
Meanwhile, I heard Kyonosuke Kameda is going to face Picasso at 126 in July.
Kyonosuke gets a lot of hate in Japan, but honestly, I’m more interested in that fight. 🤣

Don’t write of my boy Picasso man. He’s just 24 and who knows. Inoue is the type of opponent he needs to fight regardless if he wins or loses in order to up his game 💪

Hopefully, Nick Ball can finally attempt to unify with one of the other champs. I personally thought he lost to Raymond Ford. Nick Ball is a rough and rugged fighter that gets dirtier than mud in the ring lol
