we have breaking news in the NHL we have a huge trade between the Sabres and the Utah Mammoth we’ll call it in fact a mammoth trade we’ll discuss the deal coming up next welcome back to another video here at TopShelf Hockey as I mentioned we have a blockbuster in fact maybe even a mammoth trade to discuss this evening the Buffalo Sabres in Utah have hooked up on a trade involving three players with the centerpiece being JJ Purka jj Purka is being traded from the Buffalo Sabres to the Utah Mammoth in exchange for young forward Josh Don and defenseman Michael Kessler yes you heard that correctly josh Don and Michael Kessler not the fourth overall pick not a higherend prospect i like Don i like Kessle Ring i But Purka’s already proven that he’s has star potential written all over him already hit 30 goals like I I don’t know what to say here about GM Kevin Adams uh I think Bill Armstrong and the Utah Mammoth absolutely fleeced the Sabres this is kind of crazy um I it’s kind of shocking to be honest and I know for some they would have loved to have seen Don play with this franchise considering obviously the Arizona connection moving to Utah of course Shane Don longtime uh you know successful one of the best Coyotes in history but now that the team’s in Utah I’m not sure that there’s as much um you know sentimental value that way but Josh Jones has potential to be a good forward uh pretty good score in the NHL um obviously like I said Kessle Ring good good defenseman uh there’s some speculation they could be kind of revamping their decor a little bit in Buffalo too um we heard about the Samuelson maybe being moved you know Byron might be being moved so bringing in Kessle Ring I guess maybe makes sense but I don’t know to me I just see the star power in Purka going out the door and decent players coming in but I thought if a team like Utah or any of these higher end uh high picking teams in the draft were going to get Purka like I would have if I was Bill Armstrong I would have traded fourth overall for him i I think that highly of Purka um and but he didn’t have to so like what like the Sabers have been fleeced adams and Pigula are setting this franchise back even further this is absolutely insane uh so that’s the trade let me know what you think comment down below um crazy trade big one great deal for Utah not so good sure i feel so good about this about for the Buffalo Sabers so uh but love to hear your opinions in the comments and uh discuss away of course if you’re new to the channel make sure you subscribe and stick around we’ll get you all up to date with all the news rumors and announces of all 32 NHL teams thanks for watching i’ll catch you next time [Music]

    Obvious losing trade for the Sabres for anyone that see's it, absolute disgrace of an organization .

    I truly feel sorry for the fans & teammates of Buffalo! The way they played down the stretch was inspiring for them and even though Peterka & Bowen would be traded, to at least receive something back to look forward too and be so let down again, wow…….

    The sabres are clueless! A place where players careers end and I am a follower ( was once a fan) but the stupidity is endless.

    The sabers absolutely cannot trade for futures anymore. They only go for picks with the intention to flip them. Kesselring is a hot commodity RH defender. For sure as a hockey trade it’s a bit lopsided but the fact that paterka wanted out makes this make sense. Doan is just a bonus. Buffalo is already saying Kesselring is Powers new D partner. I totally get this trade.

    Honestly I like the trade. Jj wanted out… both guys played with Thompson on team USA. Everyone hated on us for the Matt Savioe trade, but Ryan McLeod fit right into the group had a career year and now wants to stay with buffalo long term.

    I’m done, Adams needs to get fired!! I mean the Sabres had all the cards in their hand!! He was a RFA, he didn’t need to go anywhere!! If dahlin and Tuch want out, I’ll help them pack!
