I’m not against it but the fit seems weird. Dobson is going to get 10 mil aav and he’s a RD. seider is getting 8.55 and he’s the starting RD. Edvinsson should be the 1st LD and will need to be resigned next year. I don’t think edvinsson will just settle with being the 2nd LD long term. He’s a motivated player.
The initial "report" about Dobson & Detroit has already been debunked. It isn't even to the level of being a rumor. All the writers seem to be jumping on it though which is hilarious. Original source was a random media site in Russia. It's a simple google search fellas lol
Yes, this would be great, don’t get me wrong. However, I think other fits are better for this team long term. Dobson either blocks ASP from the second pair long term or gives you two right shot guys on your top pair. What I like better is going after a Gavrikov, he’s on your top pair this year with Seider, then next year he slides down to second pair and gives ASP a lockdown defender to play with. Also keeps everyone happy long term because Edvinsson would be able to play top pair with Seider for the foreseeable future. I don’t think we are in a position to be picky, but at the same time, Steve will still construct this team in a way that makes sense for the present and the future.
