Hmmm. Not sure how I feel about this.
The truth is the Oil are a worse team today than they were yesterday. Mcdavid will not be happy.
Well Evander is from the Vancouver area originally and his eldest daughter really was used to being there but I know they built a house in Edmonton and his wife is from here. Hopefully everyone is okay with this.
Myself – liked him as a player ! – But he also brought some baggage along – Wish him well & Thanx !

I'm a fan of Kane, he was very good here, was disappointed with his performance in the final but the refs in my opinion neutered Kane before he could really make his mark. They shut him down and therefore shut the oilers down
Now get rid of Bouchard !!
I like that trade , Kane is a good player but that said he didn't play until the playoff and bombed that easily, free up some coin and get a 4th round pick thats a good trade . problem.solved

I really like Kane part of the reason I enjoy watching Oilers, for unproven Draft pick, he wasn’t to blame for Oilers losing two cups in row to the same team, it felt almost whole Oilers was absent this time and had no fight or spirit to win, they picked the wrong moments to lose their cool started throwing games away. At the very least for the cap space I would expect an exciting player that’s also mentally tough as Kane can be. Oilers like many Canadian teams players lack mental toughness in latter stages our GMs
Tend to not be the greatest as well, for Me Ken Holland has been the best GM in Canada. A rarity up North for NHL.

Time to fill up the bottom 6 with entry level contracts….bring in Brock Boeser and Tom Wilson. Bringing Holloway back can't hurt either. Size. Speed and big hits must continue to be a part of the formula.
Kane was a good soldier for the Oilers. Can never accuse him of giving everything he had. Seems that cap space is needed for something else down the road.

Funny how watching a Canucks fans commentary, all the Canucks fans are unhappy with this trade. Then all the oilers fans here seem like they don't like it as well. Ironically I think it's a win for both teams.
The oilers need a goalie and Mcdavid is not playing to his potential in Edmonton, for his sake he should move on.

well Vancouver wins here bigtime..but? the Oilers dont care about that cause they want to open cap..but since they are division rivals? Bowman should have been more patient because Kane will play 100% against the Oilers physically and maybe even target McDavid now..Oilers better get some muscle in their line-up before October now
