  1. I'm wondering where Hiennaman fits in this lineup. He's way too good to be playing on the 4th line and it seems the third line wingers are Anderson and Gallagher.

  2. Here is a question…

If Montreal trades CP31’s contract, can he still hang out around the team? We have seen him from time to time over the past few years helping out with the Canadiens players and showing up to games. Would that be taboo if, let’s say, his contract were sold to the Sharks?

  3. If Gallagher has another good year leading up to the trade deadline,I hope they do what they can to unload him. Love the guy but we need to make room for the younger guys

  4. What other guy in the media has A. Direct contact with the Habs players? B. Prospect knowledge? C. Salary cap/ league knowledge? Like Marco,..great stuff!

  5. Don't force the issue to get players this year. Next year has great players that will be available one such as Jack Eichel unless he resigned this year. He would be a perfect second line center.

  6. Marco said it best…Price's contract is just paper. I get it your love for Price is beyond the moon but in the end this is a business and business' don't always get mushy and sentimental about nickels and dimes. Moving his contract would be best if we go hard after a #2 center. I also believe we need to move a player with term as well. Look after next year Price signs a 1 day contract for a dollar with the HABS in 2026 and officially retires a Canadian. The End!

  7. Larry Robinson .. 10 stanley Cups, 6 as a player and four as a coach, over five decades. He also holds the record for the highest plus/minus in a single season, achieving +120 in the 1976-77 season. He has the career NHL record of plus/minus with a +722. IMO Habs management do not want him in their present organization… IMO sometimes bosses do not want someone who knows more than them, so they just ignore them… Jealousy is the biggest evil in our so called civilized society.

  8. Wouldn’t Dallas want the Price contract as they’re up against the cap and not many young players with bonuses (I don’t think) Wouldn’t it many sense for them as they could re-sign free agents

  9. BRING KOVACEVIC BACK TO MONTREAL PLEASE 🙏🏽

    Man…

    Turns out that last Summer

    Choosing

    not to bring Monahan back

    &

    Trading away Kovacevic

Would result in one year later

    Searching so hard for a

    good 2Way 2C
RD depth with size / grit

As both would be perfect fits this season

Only downside is that Monahan is a RH C and wanted some term but other than that he was a great FIT in the room and could always play wing or 3C when Hage or another drafted player is ready for 2 C

Kovy also a great fit in the room and honestly may be the best option out there as far as RD go

Wonder if he and his coach in Jersey are still on good terms 😉 or if Jersey would be open to trading him back ?

Cost Jersey a 4th rounder to acquire him

May cost a prospect or at minimum a 2nd rounder to Montreal now to re-acquire him but if I’m Kent Hughes I would pay that cost for a “mulligan”

basically Montreal trading down 2 rounds for one year of Kovy full time experience in Jersey

to me I’d do it in a heartbeat

    Monahan is taken

    But wonder if…

    Kovacevic is a real option

    They have

    Hamilton
    Nemec
    Pesce
    Casey
    Kovacevic

Can they afford 4.0m for a bottom pairing D ?

Do you think Hughes is calling on him ?

  10. Thanks S & M ;-). Great show. I appreciate analysis of Price Trade Partners. Lots of insights! I hope Kent keeps his powder dry and potentially grabs a UFA or even RFA at bargain price under terms Habs want, to bridge through to prospects joining Habs. Bon Chance Kent!

  11. Maybe crazy but how about an Elias Pettersson? Dump Careys contract and send Galley home.. maybe Dach to boot.
