  1. If mcqueen falls to teens in the draft I would like to see the flyers try to trade up to snag him. Signing shabanov as well will be nice and cant forget grebenkin.

  2. I wonder if this was some manner of "future considerations" from the William/Jamie deal. As in, "I'll give you a really good prospect and take your injured reclamation project, someday you'll do something for me."

  3. Until the NHL gets rid of the stupid shootout Zegras provides value at it, which means points in the standings

  4. Low risk, high reward is always the best way if you can get it. Zegras is young and has big upside, so this could be a really good deal.

  5. Let's trade for another player with high risk of injury…brilliant Flyers. How did Ryan Ellis work out?? Maybe next time don't trade for a guy who a team is begging to get rid of. Zegras was losing value, hmmm I wonder why! Lol

  6. Hopefully Zegras can get his career going again in Philadelphia.
Ryan Poehling will be missed, good on PK these last few years, useful player.

  7. Here is the best thing I have read about Zegras from last season, very exciting: “ It was unfortunate he got hurt because he was starting to play really well," Ducks coach Greg Cronin said after a 3-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday. "Trevor is a very offensively gifted player, but I think he was playing hard defensively, too, and winning puck battles along the wall, which again is a compliment to his game, his compete level. It's a blessing to get him back in six weeks, not six months. We have a hard time scoring, so it's going to be good to get him back."

  8. This is certainly the type of move rebuilding teams should make.
Flyers gave up pretty much nothing for a potential top six forward on a prove it one year deal.
    Smart business.

  9. Great trade, just the type of player the Flyers need as he can play multiple positions within the top 6. Danny hit a home run with this trade. I just hope their draft goes this well. Great use of our 3rd 2nd round pick! We still have our too 5 picks, smart GMing! Cannot wait for Friday! Thanks for the bonus episode, Jason!

  10. 5 seasons, average 37 points. prone to injury, doesn't play defense, doesn't check…… he sounds like a Flyer already

  11. I thought DB/KJ would be pretty good at this, starting to think they might actually be geniuses with some of these crazy returns they are finding. Definitely wish Poehling luck, dude works hard.

  12. Absolutely in love with this deal, my only question would be, with Poehl's departure (which sucks because I loved the guy), how do the Flyers fill the gaps in the roster (3rd Line Winger, 4C, etc)? Does this evolve internally or through FA's or both? Who do you see taking those steps up or who would Danny target in Free Agency? Sorry for the loaded question(s), love the show, and love your enthusiasm here!!!

  13. I know 3 flyers that "need a change of scenery." Ersson, Fedotov and Kolosov. With ALL THREE allowing 3 goals per game, we'll need 2 more goal scorers in order to actually win games. You like to accentuate the positives, and TOTALLY IGNORE the negatives as if they don't exist.
