Grier played at 110% every shift he played for the Sharks, he's doing the same thing as GM even if it's not always a popular decision. He looks more relaxed here with Brodie than I've ever seen him!
Hey Brodie, Thanks for the sit down with Mike Grier. I think its fair to say that I would suck as an NHL GM because I could never be as calm and considered as Mike is. hahaha I am looking forward to seeing this next phase of the Sharks that Mike and his team have in store for us. It's very heady times for Sharks fans and the franchise owing largely to the efforts of Mike and his team in attacking the complications they inherited when they were hired.
It is remarkable to me that in the relatively short time Mike and his team have been in charge they have managed to take a franchise that was very inflexible and flipped it around so that now we are one of the most flexible in the league in terms of options for Mike and his team to improve the team. For that reason alone its very exciting because for the first time since he has been here Mike is not sort of handcuffed with complications he inherited. Now Mike has created a situation where it literally is up to him and his team to figure out what they want to do and not what they can do given limitations that preexisted.
I always enjoy hearing Mike's thoughts so thanks Brodie and GO SHARKS!
