just pick it…. it has NO trade value. after the 10th-15th pick depending on the year, its essentially a second round pick
David Patrnak was 25th overall, Aho was 35th, Pesce 66th, and Slavin 120nd. So we should draft a big body with that pick.
All this talk about the NHL draft it means nothing at this time none of these pics have enough value to get the canes what they need to get to the next level which is Stanley Cup level they have the cap space and money use it get some good top NHL experienced players into the mix we need some good NHL players
Mlb draft isn’t best available. It is true that it’s not position need specific but the cap on draft spending means that you can pay a guy less early to pay a guy more later

Just like everything the draft is political, one never really knows until the draft what/who will be available for that pick….. however, trading it maybe a little something to add in. 🤷♀️
