Not Marner. I think Nikolaj Ehlers would be a better fit. I also believe that Ehlers could be had at a cheaper price. If Seth Jarvis was healthy, then I would say focus strictly on the defense. However, we don't know how healthy Jarvis will be (shoulder issue) when next season begins. That said, Ehlers would be a solid addition to ease the burden on Jarvis. However, we do need a defensive upgrade. Alex Nikishin will take the reins next season, but he is more of an offense-first defenseman. We need a defenseman who focuses on defense. That player would be Vladislav Gavrikov. That should be the extent of our signings. Then, in 2026, with 2 first round draft picks, we can stock up for the future.

No! He’s not a tough, durable player. We need mean mofos if we wanna play for the cup. The NHL allows goonery to the max in the playoffs. Haven’t you seen. Gotta be tough, mean and skilled. I’d take three guys that are tough with 1/2 Marners skill and be better off
