  1. Billy really seemed to be banking on getting Nelson but Brock found the environment in Colorado worth staying. And now sticker shock will force him into begrudgingly paying Rossi because the get in return is not a Wild improvement that gives them playoff win trajectory. The Wild are destined to stay pretty much the same this next season. An Earth Shattering deal just won't happen because everyone sees treatment of Rossi and fears they'd be next. They'd be next to be plugged on a line with someone that never shoots the puck but can cardio the sheet til the cows come home. Billy's proclivity to be the last vestige to retirement being Minnesota for old and slow guys is poisoning our trade prospectus. Who wants their career to dead-end here with a bunch of $4 mill slow-den oldies??? NOBODY!!!

  2. I was in with mentioning Tuch a few weeks ago. I want Tuch and MacTavish on this team bad! We old souls know our hockey!

  3. Anders is my neighbor (well, he's moving this summer to Edina) and I'd love to see him on the Wild. Dude is HUGE at 6'3" and a rock solid 220. Great guy, great leader, hard worker. Brings so much to the table for the Wild.

  4. Denny, just an FYI……Signing bonuses count against the cap, so giving a player an $18M signing bonuses only benefits the player, not the organization, in terms of cap relief.
Also, "clearing the lanes" in 2025 is much harder to do than the 90s because it typically results in an interfernce penalty for impeding an opposing player's progress or positioning.
Also, I don't see Billy pulling off a major big-ticket trade. I think he signs Boeser (pronounced "Bess-er") unless he gets outbid.

  5. Taxes isnt a huge advantage. U forgot seattle. 6 teams 4 are cap strapped 5 cups in last 6 yrs. 1 abusing ltir which has chges coming in cba. Seattle is atrocious, nashvillebis atrocious. Prior to 2020 last non tax team to win was dallas in the 90s. 1st round picks yeah last 15yrs wild have had some guys have good careers. Some here some elsewhere. Shot blocking, have to block shots with all the skill in the game and a lot of mid goal tending league wide. Surprised an episode without talkin bad bout hynes n guerin, but rather have hynes or tortorella? Anders lee no thankyou, cap number is 7, if it was 3 or even 4 sure. But its 7. I expect trade chaos the next 10days league wide free agency unfortunately is gonna be boring. Tampa n florida built a culture b4 finally winning, florida hasnt really signed anyone of note cheap, florida had n they have a very rare culture that makes plauers want to play there regardless of taxes. Dallas tax free yet in cap hell dont even have buyouts of note which is hilarious.

  6. Denny Seth I’d like your thoughts.
I know this is like crazy land fantasy trade but let’s say McDavid goes to the oilers and says “I’m not resigning here next offseason so go ahead and trade me if you want to” which might happen.

What teams would be able to possibly make a move? Could we get involved?
I know that’s crazy but hey crazier things have happened.
