Skinner HAS to start. Nurse has been invisible lately. Ekholm needs to not have a game like last game! Why was he playing on the right side!
I really don’t like the idea of playing Skinner over Pickerd. Florida are masters of the EA NHL pass to open net shot. And Pickered has shown himself much more adept at those types of plays. Come back to comment when Pickerd gets ventilated NHL 14 style.
Just a question but am I wrong is FLA 13.225 M over cap right now?
That is a major play of the Cap pre playoffs that seriously should not be allowed.
Would either Toronto or Edmonton do this trade this offseason?
Stuart Skinner & Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for Anthony Stolarz.
Is that too high of a price for Edmonton to pay for a goalie? If Marner is leaving, is Nugent-Hopkins a good enough replacement for Marner's scoring?
your in the cup finals and the fact your even have to ask who should be starting is a major organizational issue
maybe they should start the rookie then it would be a good excuse for the lose to panthers
The recent version of Oilers have always lacked a top-end goaltending. McDavid has to be able to outscore the weakness in net.
The Panthers have the deepest team in the NHL and Bob is one of the best playoff goalies in the NHL. They don't need to depend on their first line to win. Their third line is awesome.
Get lost Toronto supporters we are oilers be ready. Game 7. We blesve that Les go oilers Les. Go. Canada
Need to channel Prime hamburgler
Do you call this a hockey video? Where are the advertisements for pharmaceuticals and sports betting? This isn’t hockey.
Cam Ward was a great goalie?
5:27 “remember when Bobby Boucher showed up down 3-2 and won the Stanley cup playoffs?!” Edmonton’s locker room erupts
Doesn't matter. If they don't show up like last game its GG.
The issue is that the Oilers don't play defence in the first period, so whoever is in goal is in trouble.
Start whichever, pull him after one, and hope the team responds.
The is starting his favorite goalie whick is completly stupid, lets not for forget that if it wasnt for Pickard and Drai we wouldnt even be here.its on the coach if we lose.
3:08 nah, Arvidsson is not effective anymore. Kings fan here.
Skinner's leash is like 10 feet long, while Pickard doesn't get enough recognition for bailing out Skinner multiple times and the reason the team is in the finals. Picard all the way.
Skinner, obviously, I would generally say he’s been great. Not as good as bob but it’s definitely not his fault oilers can’t play defence against the cats
Am I missing something? Didn't Skinner get them to 2 straight cup finals? Or did I dream that?
The discussion about goalies is ridiculous. Edmonton's goalies are not a problem. The problem has been constantly giving up breakaways and other high danger chances. That is not the goalies fault. Hockey in general has a ridiculous attitude towards goalies – they get over blamed for losses and over credited for wins. Also sv%, which is a ridiculously stupid statistic, is held up as the measure of a goalies level. sv% takes no account of the quality of the chances and so it is dumb. Bobrovsky is being touted for Conn Smythe but he has not played significantly better than either Edmonton goalie. He has made some good saves but also let in some key goals that he probably should have saved (goals 2 and 3 in game 4 for example). He is getting credit for Florida's excellent team defense and their forecheck which has limited the Oilers high danger chances. He is the one player on their team that has nothing to do with their forecheck but he is apparently Conn Smythe material – utterly ridiculous.
who would you star lol
Oil suck… Wish they were better
That’s not a real question. You start skinner.
The fact that the Oil are in the position to even ask this valid question is the whole problem here.
They shouldve done something about it months ago, and the fsct they didnt is just irresponsible.
The Panthers as a team have a way of smothering the opponent, taking away any room for even their best players to move. They do not always execute that with perfection in every single game that they play but when they do they are unbeatable. The play of the Panthers last night should serve as a masterclass on how to take out an opponent and to the GM's around the league as a blueprint how to build and conduct a hockey team. Well done, well deserved.
Guess it didn;t matter, but next season, maybe replace them both.
I would try to get the walrus from the geico commercial
Superintendent Chalmers: SKINNER!!!!
