Bruins Have a Night to Forget | Game 1 Breakdown

the Boston Bruins lose their first game of the season 64 to the Florida Panthers and honestly it wasn’t pretty they started very slow and truly never were able to build any momentum as it was sucked away from either being undisciplined or getting deflated from another goal against as per usual I’m going to break down the game and give you the highs and the lows but I want to warn you there’s a lot more lows from this game so buckle up Bruins fans I’m here to give you the latest info on your beloved Boston Bruins if you’ve been liking my Bruins content please leave me a like and subscribe if you’ve already done so thank you and let’s get into it if you’re a Boston Bruins fan you know there’s two types of starts for this team either they come out like they’ve been shot out of a cannon or they come out flat and there’s no in between Unfortunately they came out flat and couldn’t put two passes together for the life of them we did get some life early as Castell gets a big fight against Greer I kind of think Greer took this one early on y corpo made some knife saves but it would soon take a turn for the worst the Florida Panthers would score two quick goals and the Bruins are down to nothing I knew we were in for a long night when maran’s first shift he copped up the puck twice for two giveaways both goals I wouldn’t say were all on Corpus Salo but he was having trouble tracking the puck and almost instantly after the first goal all of a sudden his rebounds became big juicy ones the Bruins started taking penalties which would be a theme for the night as they played very undisciplined during the PK though Pavo zaka rips home his first for the year and it looks like the Bruins have life that is quickly taken away as the Bruins give up a short-handed goal where makoy makes a less than great effort to take the man but again corpo gives one up and he probably should have had that one when playing hockey you sometimes need a goalie to make a huge save to keep you in the game and they just weren’t getting that tonight this takes a life out of the team instantly as any push is met with a big push back from Florida the de pairing of peak and zadorov looked huge on the ice but also looked slow and they didn’t see to gel I had the same issue when I watched them in the preseason they were gripping their sticks a little too tight out there by the end of the first period the score is 41 and the thought of San coming into the game 100% crossed my mind Corpus Sala would make a great save followed by some desperation saves or lucky ones as his positioning was off and he was having trouble tracking the puck the start of the second we see that the Bruins PK unit is playing well and I joke that maybe we should play a man down because they look more comfortable on the ice a man down Mason lry was not strong on the puck at all and the Panthers were easily taking the puck off his stick and he was caught out of position on multiple occasions he certainly didn’t look like the guy we saw from the playoffs last year the Panthers open the scoring by making it 4-1 but shortly after Charlie makavo drives to the net and follows up on a rebound and Pops one home to make it 5-2 and once again you think can the Bruins make a comeback minutes later fans in Florida start to chant we want swayman which tells you how the game is going they likeis pinus as well the laan has showed some good offensive a flair tonight yeah it’s going to be tough though to replace those guys they lost on D and LS Max Jones once again looked to be fighting the puck all game and goes to hit the Stick of Rodriguez from Florida and slashes the ref it was that kind of night and Max Jones spent most of his time in the Box Jones played 9 Minutes in the game and the third line looked so ineffective when they were out there together I want to try and take some positives from the game because it can’t be all bad right if I had to say one player that I felt played with pace and played a noro game that would be Johnny beer he had his legs tonight was strong on the four check and was actually hard to play against he played a simple disciplined game and he was always moving on the ice compared to most players that look like they were in slow motion all night long the game gets quickly Out Of Reach when Florida scores another one making it 6-2 and truly putting a stomping to the Bruins at both ends of the ice I wouldn’t even say that barosi played great but the Bruins didn’t really test him the Bruins had 28 shots on him and he let in four goals but they didn’t really test him Florida did a great job of forcing Boston to the outside and clogging up Lanes making them take low percentage shots making his job easy Boston scored two more goals from Frederick and Pastak late in the third period but the game was already over and it was a little too late Pastor Knack didn’t even mean to score his goal he was making a pass to lolm and it hit a panther and it goes in the net I would love to tell you that the Top Line looked good or that I saw life from Coyle and marshan but they all look flat one player didn’t look wor worse than the other besides that Beacher looked good and the rest of them just didn’t have any fight in them and they look slow like they kept talking about how big this Bruins team is and how this is what we’ve all wanted for years the fan base has been clamoring for these big guys and this is the heaviest team the Bruns have ever had on opening night well guess what that heavy team push back went in the Box otherwise they were slow and no one cared that they were out there if you don’t have skill you’re not going to win the hockey game we spoke so much over the offseason of how good the defense would be and they had a hard time keeping Florida to the outside and allowed them to drop the net and Screen Corpus Alo a Florida player was parked in front of the net all night and the Bruins defense rarely tried to move them they looked like they were standing still Florida looked great but the Bruins kind of made them look that way because if they provided any push back the Bruins actually would tilt the ice for their favor but for some reason would just cough it up and it wouldn’t make a difference last year this Bruins team could rely on knowing they had top caliber goal tending in net behind them Corella looks shaky at times in the preseason and he look shaky at times last night once again I’m not blaming him for the loss tonight as the team in front of him stunk but I can’t help but wonder if he just played a little bit better and made some saves we saw from armar and San last year that we didn’t expect that the Bruins might have stayed in this game when zaka scored that shorter handed goal it looked to give them life and it was sucked right back out very quickly and Florida never looked back I hate being right but I said last video that they might stumble out of the gate because there’s so many new bodies and every line is looking to gel you could tell they looked out a syn but the good news is it’s only game number one of 82 and there’s a lot of hockey left yes they started 10-0 in the last two seasons but in the end they didn’t win the cup so maybe this year they face adversity early and overcome it to ride that into the playoffs I expect a lot better game on Thursday at home against the Montreal Canadians I expect swayman to get the start and I expect the Bruins to be energized by the Home crowd and come out flying that’s a wrap on today’s video to stay up to date on all the news surrounding
