Yeah, what annoys me is it's a contract year for McDavid, and you'd figure all their attention would be on him. Nope, everyone still covets, Sid. Heck, listen to Dangle after 4 nations talk about Sid. This is why Sid is the better.

I understand those who want sid to leave , the guy gives 100% every game and with a depleated ,too old, roster sids 100% wont mean a thing ! if sid goes to the avs and plays with mckinnon they become a favorite to win the cup !

What if they don't suck is a strange take. So what does that mean, lose to Ovechkin and the Caps in 5 games 1st round? That's your miracle ceiling.
Giving the level of play of this year's playoffs and the apathetic compete level of the Penguins, Crosby stands no chance of even getting to sniff the cup for the rest of his career if he stays in Pittsburgh. When your cope is "what if the Penguins don't suck?", then obviously the team isn't going anywhere fast. Throw on top of that everybody and their Mother wanting to trade away two of our best players (Rust & Rakell), it becomes obvious.
Well there are some positives with the new coaches at first glance. I'm excited for this coming season, young player growth and development. A balanced mix of younger and older players, is what is needed. Thank you DK, awesome
That's just wishful thinking. Remind us how the Penguins followed up their strong 2023–24 playoff push at the start of the 2024–25 season. And please, stop comparing their rebuild to the Capitals’. Washington had a well-developed AHL system in place long before beginning their retool. The Penguins are only a year into rebuilding their prospect pipeline—expecting instant results is pretty unrealistic.
I don't think we need to or should move ALL of Rakell, Karlsson, Rust this offseason, but I think at least one should be sent out now and at most one should make it to pick drop 2026-2027. We need to transition from experience to youth while continuing to support that youth. I think ideal scenario is one out now, one out at the trade deadline or next offseason.

Pittsburgh is holding my Sid hostage. Yall take him for granted. Crosby is the greatest player of all time. 16 straight playoff appearances, 3 Cups in this day and age is absurd and won’t happen again. Pittsburgh fans value Malkin who’s been washed since 2020 the same way and they still value Mario Lemieux who retired 3 times like he is still the captain of the team.
