QUESTION OF THE DAY — How Would YOU Feel If The Blackhawks Traded Down From No. 3 in the 2025 NHL Draft?
IF they are putting number 3 in play, I'd prefer it be for an established player, not a later top 10 pick and a minor addition.
You can build through the Draft but you need to plug in good experienced players. Donato signing is good, but not the answer. Forget Marner. Let others make that mistake. Davidson has to get off his ass and attain some good experienced players. He does not have the time for patience. If you are going to be patient, then trade Bedard for a haul. You are now just wasting him.
Hawks need to get JJP from Buffalo. They have the assets and Buffalo needs them. This one is easy.
Make the Islanders an offer they can't refuse. Swap 3 for 1 throwing in a Prospect or two along with swapping next years #1's. The Pot of Gold is in next years draft and the Hawks will most likely be in the top 3 again. Might seem like a lot but the 20 year rebuild is getting old.
So much BS at this time of year. Kyle doesn't allow many leaks and his moves usually come as a surprise. So I doubt we're trading that pick.
Trade pick #3 leafs pick this year and young d man to the nyi for matt barzel … so nyi can get hagens at 3 .. iunno
Trading the #3 pick would be a mistake. You have to think long term. The 2026 draft is loaded. Let the young guys play and learn. Maybe add someone like Mason Marchment. I would not want to add a lot this year.
Anton Frondell will be the pick at 3 for the Hawks. He has the highest PNHLE in the draft.
marchment just got traded to seattle. the hawks #1 offseason priority is gavin mckenna.
Just take a safe pick and kick the rebuild back a year
Trading down from No. 3 only makes sense if:
1. They acquire an NHL 2nd line winger AND a pick no lower than No.8, or………..
2. They do a straight trade and acquire a top line winger less than 30 y.o. to play alongside Connor Bedard.
They do NOT need extra draft picks.
There is absolutely NO way I'm giving 3rd overall for Peterka!
McQueen scares me that he's the next Eric Daze. If he falls all the way to the Hawks' second pick in the 1st round, fine, take the risk. At pick 3, no, too risky.
How long have we been looking & saying to play along side with Connor Bedard maybe the flaw is Bedard his passing is not very good, also knight said his last win in Florida he faced 18 shots on goal, First game in Chicago he faced 18 SOG in the first period that's the defensive coordinators fault think about it.
no way do you trade that pick. We need a big skilled forward. We need players like Toews and Buff and Bickell and Hossa. And that guy is Porter Martone. Dont mess around, he can be a top winger. This is not Olympic speed skating, it is ice hockey. He has a great shot and is a great passer too. AND he is not gonna get pushed around near the net.
Eventually, we need to get some bigger forwards on the team. We can't keep taking guys that are Hagens size and push this issue down the road. The playoffs showed you what is needed to win… size! And we have almost no size with our forwards.

I think Marcel Marcel signs a AHL deal to stay with the Icehogs and play with them and also the Indy Fuel think Rockford and Indy both like him as a depth player and I think Victor Stjernborg could sign a deal with Indy in the future
Completely agree if you don’t grab Hagens who’s got debatably the most talent outside Schaefer and Misa trade back fuck it id rather get someone who can help rn under 27 {peterka} and move back to whatever then get frondell or desnoyers but what tf do I know

CHI sends 3rd overall and Sam Rinzel to TBL for Isaac Howard, 2nd Round Pick. Howard is a top 6 ready prospect that fits their young core but he’s a young wing ready to go which is better for Bedard.
