welcome back to Bruins game reactions boston Bruins lose 52 at the hands of the Chicago Blackhawks 42 one was an empty netter game was over f first first five minutes of the third period uh cat decided to confiscate my jersey so not going to be wearing one today uh Nikia Zidorov welcomed a baby boy into the world today zladen Zidorov was born earlier today uh and his dad played in the game hours later um this game was one lost in the first five minutes of the third period this has been a lot like games past especially during throughout that 10ame losing streak uh very solid first 40 minutes and then shelled in the final 20 um yeah man uh that top line again does everything fraser Minton leads the team in shots today with five fabian Lysel picks up three um poor poor Lysel man he can’t seem to buy himself a goal uh he’s had multiple high high quality chances puck just hasn’t been bouncing on him i’m calling it now game 82 he’s scoring I’m going to say like seven minutes into the second period so somewhere around the 13 minute mark just pencil that in right now fabian Lassel is going to score um yeah uh this it like I said solid first 40 terrible terrible final 20 uh although something to mention that six on five at the end of the game uh before it was changed to a six on four probably their best six on five of the season in my opinion the puck barely left the zone if it did it left it for 20 seconds at most and then it was right back in there they didn’t score on it uh but they came close a few times and Arvid Soda Blom stood on his head uh sometimes that happens man uh first goal though Boston gets on the board early david Passnack uh lights the lamp beautifully with a nice deflection from an Elias Lynholm shot uh Morgan Gei has the puck behind the net fighting for time and space and is able to get it to David Passnack who sends it back up to Morgan Geeky who’s just to the left uh of Soderblum and Geeki puts it out front uh puts out front to Elias Lynholm sorry elias Lynholm puts it on passnack tips it it goes in one- nothing Boston 10 minutes into the period uh you could call Passnack for interference on that play not goalie interference but interference on the player there was a bit of a trip uh unfortunately there was there was no call on it so obviously it’s fine we play on boston scores not 10 seconds later uh that that led kind of directly to the goal though uh yeah I mean it was a it was a really slow start to this game again unfortunately uh it yeah it was just a boring start for Boston to end up with 33 shots i I still don’t quite know how they did that uh the shots were there chances just weren’t unfortunately uh one thing to know as well Passnack had three shots that’s expected at this point though as for the rest of the first period uh as I said very quiet we head into first intermission boston up one- nothing you’re hoping uh that something’s there it It wasn’t unfortunately uh Nick Felino scores eight minutes into the second period on I don’t I mean he channeled his speed in on this one uh is able to beat uh Mason Loai don’t know why I couldn’t think of his name there is able to beat Mason Loai on a mishandled puck and Andrew Peak can’t catch him in time rips it on Jeremy Swayman beats him low blocker uh man I mean you want a save from Swayman there i also don’t think you expect that kind of shot from Nick Felino uh I mean the former Bruins beat the current Bruins tonight that’s really what it was uh Feleno had the empty netter ryan Donado actually Feleno had this one and the empty netter donado scored one later on in this one just uh yeah one of those games unfortunately uh nothing else happens really uh a penalty or two I think in the second period again very quiet nothing turned up nothing got turned up to 11 until the third period uh yeah so getting right into that we head into second intermission game’s tied two 1-1 sorry not 2-2 uh and unfortunately this is where it starts to fall apart for Boston three minutes into the third period uh Sam Sammy Rinsel or I I think it’s Sammy i don’t know if it’s Sammy uh Renel comes down the the right side takes it over to the left puts it on onto Jeremy Swayman swayman stops it but the rebound’s still there and Philip Kersev’s there to try and bury it he can’t do it and Ryan Donado the former Bruin uh is able to capitalize on the secondary rebound i mean you want guys to hold the net better than that or uh not even hold the net clear the net better than that man i mean you maybe want Swayman to have a save on that not just to stop have a save on it and unfortunately he didn’t uh Chicago makes it 2-1 3 minutes into the third period and the dam kind of broke there uh at least temporarily it did and yeah uh I didn’t even I didn’t realize it was Bratusi but Bratusi gets the second gets the third goal for Chicago so really uh the old Bruins beat the new Bruins 4-2 um yeah I mean two two unassisted goals in a game uh the Tyler Batuzi one was unassisted that’s that’s not great um that’s something that really can’t be happening uh unfortunately it did in this one and uh yeah it’s just something that needs to get worked out for next season uh I don’t believe this is the first time that Boston has allowed two unassisted goals this season they might have had two against Buffalo honestly uh but yeah it’s tough to watch but unfortunately it is getting into the Tyler Batuzzi goal uh chaos out in front of the Chicago net great great place to start on that one uh puck bounces out into the corner morgan Geeki is the first man on scene pushes it up to Michael Callahan callahan bobbles it and Tyler Batusi is the first one there this time uh he takes it up skates it right into Boston zone with basically no pressure uh tries to get a pass over and pass gets broken up by Parker Wortherspoon pass gets broken up right back to Tyler Bertusi tyler Petusi decides to not pass it takes the shot and beats Jeremy Swayman uh that’s that’s just a tough one unfortunately that’s uh yeah that that wasn’t a great goal unfortunately um that’s one you want Swayman to have uh yeah it was a very good shot from a guy who has scored 20 goals multiple times in this league swayman’s got to be better on that one unfortunately uh and that’s just the fact um yeah so less than a minute and a half later Chicago goes up not even a minute and a half later sorry they scored three goals in a minute 33 um yeah Chicago goes up early uh this time 3-1 and it continues to get worse for Boston kevin Cchinski sorry gets his first goal of the season uh minute 33 after the Tyler Batuzi goal and man I don’t even know what to think what to even make of this one uh Oliver Moore comes in very similar to the Tyler Batuzzi goal boston lets him walk right in he tries to pass to Connor Bard this time baddard over skates it uh Morg is the first man on scene once again and sends it down to Bard who’s further down the ice this time uh while still in the offensive zone bernard gets it finds Kevin Kchinsky and Kchinsky is able to rip it home pass Jeremy Swayman that makes it 4-1 Chicago and at that point the game’s done uh you can say it’s not because there was still two goals that was that was the end of it the game was out of reach for Boston at that point it It sucks man uh it does morgan Geeki is able to get the next Boston goal uh unfortunately just didn’t build any momentum for Boston maybe built a bit not nearly enough though uh that goal comes 11 minutes into the period and makes it 4-2 i congrats on eclipsing the 30 goal mark pasta gets his 60th assist of the season and Nick Fino gets the short-handed empty netter yeah um oh one thing to note uh Riley Durant made his NHL debut uh 16 points in 58 games with Providence this season uh Massachusetts native was very quiet in this game uh kind of what you wanted from him had a couple chances couldn’t quite bury those uh as for as for the rest of this game uh I’ve said it twice now i think the former Bruins beat the current Bruins 4-2 and yeah uh two games remain and then this season is finally over boston currently sits tied with Philadelphia for the fourth overall pick uh in in the draft currently philly does have two games in hand i believe Seattle has a game in hand over Boston as well and they’re one point ahead uh it’s come down to the wire uh I think it’s it’s going to be fourth fifth or sixth at this point nashville’s too far back to catch them uh Buffalo might be the team ahead of Seattle i’m not honestly philly sorry nope pittsburgh pittsburgh is the team ahead of Seattle uh probably not catching them so it’s going to be fourth fifth or sixth uh and then Boston heads into the lottery yeah uh anyways that’s going to do it bit of a shorter video
