  1. Life Long sabres fan… Not happy about this at all.. I hope if the Sabres do move him, (and I don't want them to) that they get value back.. not just a handful of picks and low level parts. Me personally, I'd look forward to matching any contract offers he gets and make him a lifer in Buffalo… or about the only way they'll price the sabres out.. the 4 first rounders… and that could really hurt the other team.

  2. There is no reason to jump at the opportunity to trade him, since he’s under contract, and being impulsive will result in not receiving solid value for him.

Allow him, and his agent, to arrange for teams to present offers, and simply entertain them. If it makes sense for the team and roster, then trade him.

Hopefully, someone overpays, on RFA tendered offer, and the Sabres receive a boatload of draft picks, making the decision easy.

  3. Should have just drafted JJ instead. Took Wallinder.
I swear SY cannot draft after the 1st round…….oh they did manage to draft Drapers son who would have been a free agent anyways.

  4. yzerman would never give up assets, he hoards his million draft picks and mediocre prospects like his life depends on it lol

plus buffalo aint trading him in the division 😂

  5. The Sabres can match any offer for JJ. The only way an offer sheet will work is if someone goes for the 4 first round draft picks price tag. Otherwise the Sabres will Match. JJ has no rights as a RFA the Sabres can sit on their hands like the Nylander situation years ago with the Leafs. Just tell JJ to go sit down and when he is ready to work out a contact they will listen to him.
The Sabres can also easily give him a 2 year deal and still have 2 years after that with his rights.
The ONLY way I see JJ being traded is if there is a Big piece or 2 very good pieces going back to Buffalo. Lets use LA as an example Spence and Laferriere as an example of 2 pieces. 1 Big piece would be something like NJD sending Kovacevic back.
The Sabres are not giving JJ away from picks and prospects again unless a team offersheets Above $11,700,193 which is 4 first round picks. Most teams are not even going to consider that offer.

  6. Kasper's same age numbers are better. 7 more goals and 5 more points IN THE SAME 77 GAMES. Buffalo fans want Kasper AND a first rounder AND a player? Are they NUTS? If you want Kasper then I strongly suggest you fond a way to package Bowen Byram. I might….MIGHT….do Kasper, Johansson and a 1st for Peterka and Byram. Personally I would rather gove up a 1st and Johansson just for Byram.

  7. Lego, where did you hear that Buffalo wants picks and prospects and would want another rebuild????
All this talk has come from outside Buffalo, and no Sabres insider has said otherwise.

Even Adams has stated he wants hockey trades that make the team better.
I'd rather try to get Cirelli than anything Detroit offers if it's not Raymond, Larkin, or Seider.
