I think what is missed is that there has been great teams beside Toronto that have been a bit better- Florida now, Tampa before, Boston before that.
These guy's are ignorant. And they are the media. "No, I dont buy that Im the problem". They are a part of the problem. The players mental health is also a problem. "Sad, Depressed" says Marner. Hes telling you he has depression. The mental illness of the effect of the pressure is real.
Agree on PMD need, well Reilly for whatever you can get.
It seems Leafs fans jump all over Marner, but Matthews deserves most of the blame. He’s soft and invisible during the playoffs. This team is a disaster.
Well did the coach get them going in the game? We have a good team but not great, yet….Marner, Mathews puts up big points in the season….but where was the team effort, hunger, want, aggression, grit….. in game 7? I saw floaters, no hunger, grit…….Reilly floats way to much….no team effort, passion, hunger in game 7…Players, coach…? Look at Carolina? Hunger, speed, grit every shift??? Why?
The leafs have no playoff grinders when you have a snowflake captain that couldn’t motivate a snail you get this bunch of charmin boys who can’t win no matter what !

They need to make some changes. The blueprint has been right in front of them since 2023. If the team cannot compete against Florida, they'll never make it past the 2nd round in the Atlantic. Its that cut and dry.

So this argument that other teams in the NHL and other sports having pressure too as a reason to not believe the Leafs do, is like when your kid's teacher says they're struggling in class and need help and you say well the other kids aren't struggling, my neighbor's kid is in a much harder school and is doing fine! Dude, people are different. Just because McDavid isn't bothered in Edmonton doesn't mean the guys in Toronto aren't having struggles. Of course, they won't admit it because the response will be "don't be here then" which will only make things worse.

I give Treliving an F.. He gave Domi $3.75 when nobody in the entire league wants him. Played for 7 teams and no one wants domi. Tre could have signed domi for minimum. Tre gave Kampf 4th liner 2.4 when no 4th liner should get more than 1M. Tre could have signed Montour for $8M for free!! No draft picks to give away. Instead Tre has Domi Kampf Jarnkrok Robertson for $9M. He chose quantity over quality. This is the epitomy of stupidity. Tre compounds it by trading away picks for average players Carlo and Lawton. Minten is already better than Lawton, no disrespect to Lawton who did play hard, gave a good effort. Tre gets credit for rebuilding a D that gave up 12 goals in games 5 & 7. Why? Tre will now make things worse by making the same mistake with Tavares. JT is a very good reg season player but not so good in the playoffs at least this year. Is FT worth the O'reilly $4.5M? Sure, but the leafs need more cap space. Nobody wants JT because he will not push a contending team across the line. JT could get his $$ with a lesser team and never win a cup. Like Domi, JT WANTS TO PLAY IN HIS HOMETOWN! He can be had for $2M if he really wants to win a Cup. He's a 3rd line C at best on his way to the 4th line. He was not great handling the speed of Florida. He will end up on the 4th line in the playoffs. How many of his goals were on the PP? Tre has left the team short on draft picks and can't get past the 2nd round. Now they need a 2C & 3C. TRE gets an F-minus. The Leafs have the worst management in the entire league. It's been that way since 1967.
