Howden elbow on Stecher not called, Stecher reverse hit – Tough Call Review
Troy Stecher took a glove/arm to the face from Brett Howden on this zone entry, cutting his nose open. He retaliated with a calculated reverse hit. There was no call on either play.
I ask myself: Are all four officials watching the exact same portion of the game? Like are they all fixated on where the puck is? One could think the Zone ref watches the play, Zone linesman has the line. Now that leaves us with two sets of eyeballs that could watch the rest of the rink and yet they still miss egregious fouls.
100% agree. Should have been a double minor to Vegas for drawing blood and 2 mins interference by Oilers. That’s the rules and in my opinion both were easy to see and call.
Idk, I feel like Refs have mostly given up by the start of Round 2. Sometimes feels like nothing short of murder will make them call a penalty at times. Edit: on both sides

Do you like the fact that some things arent called? Or would you rather every single thing that happens on the ice be called?
Not even remotely an elbow.
I mostly agree. I would add that it should have been a 4 min elbow since he cut stetcher and drew blood.

Cool
How can the refs miss the holding/roughing/interfence on Vegas? They are right there, and there is nothing else going on.
