I'm not impressed by Drury & the Drury/Laviolette combination was not my cup of tea as I'm not a Laviolette fan. I was downright shocked at how well the Rangers did in his first year as coach. Pierre McGuire said that Sullivan will bring "organization" to the Rangers, the opposite of "confusion" that Fox highlighted. McGuire also praised David Quinn as a defense coach & his skill in teaching puck movement with defensemen. If he's right that will be a big improvement. The upgrade in coaching will make the Rangers better.
Half the team doesn’t want to compete!
It's a mixed bag. I don't want to come out hating him completely but at the same time you need to admit he's made some bad calls last season with the leaked memo.
Same ole Rangers , can’t teach effort.
Drury has been a disaster as the GM. He didn’t recognize last summer that the core took this team as far as it could and he needed to break it down and build it again. This team as currently constructed is not built to beat the Panthers. A change is needed and he’s not the guy to make those changes. All he’s done is destroy the moral of this team. He should’ve been fired with Laviolette. Panarin and Mika need to go. They’ve become a cancer
