If Gavrikov’s AAV is under 6.5 for 8 years and doesn’t have a full NMC for the last 2 years I would sign him. The cap is going to explode and he would be worth the cap percentage for most of the contract
The kings need Hungry Big players like Brady Tkachuk…but JJ Peterka would be a good pick up
They need to sign Jeannot, what the hell are they waiting for? Didn't they watch Florida's 4th line, LA needs more physical players like him!
Thanks Eddie for everything you do! If you can’t upgrade the D with someone like Ekblad, then I’d sign Gavy to a 5 year deal. Hang on to Laffy because I think he’s got a much bigger upside that will begin to show next season. He may not be a scoring machine, but it’s all the other little things he does that will make this team better. Kings need more guys willing to go to the dirty areas to make plays as well as defensemen who make life miserable for opposing players that go to our net.
What someone needs to do (you or someone else) is post a "Idiots guide" to the business of hockey. This time of year there are so many fans that don't understand that this is the NHL and not MLB. Contract structure and how it pertains to overall salary cap health, a maybe a glossary of terms. A better educated fan base, is a better fan base.
