Go Kings go
Get to the player.
Sebastian, how did you become a scout? Do you need to have experience as a player?
Uh Byfield had the biggest bone headed play in game 4 against the Oilers, hopefully it’s a learning opportunity
About Greentree and having to return to the OHL (unless he makes the Kings' roster) next season:
It's to my understanding there are no rumblings of changing the age policy on the CHL's end.
I've had a thought for a few years about some NHL/CHL agreement for an "out clause" which would allow first-round NHL draftees to leave the CHL by their 19-year-old season. The reason why the CHL likes to keep these guys around is for one reason: marketing. It's not about the continuous development of players, it's about selling tickets. "Hey, you know that one kid who got picked 10th-overall at the NHL Entry Draft a few months ago? Well, he's playing here tonight. Come see him!"
Who could blame them? It's a business, after all!
I know you brought up (I believe on yesterday's show) the thing Rob Blake did with Brandt Clarke — 9 NHL games, sit out, AHL two-week assignment, WJC, go back to the OHL — and that could be an option for Greentree this upcoming season.
But, for me personally, I'd have Greentree make the opening night roster as the Kings' 14th-Forward and he'd stay with the team throughout the duration of the season. He does need to refine his skating technique, something the LA Kings' Development Team could help him with — using his time in LA to work with them more than getting into games. He'd also learn how to travel with the team and begin building relationships with future teammates. And, would be given a pitch count of maybe… 35-50 games throughout the season, like the Ducks did with Leo Carlsson. Wingers tend to develop faster than Centers and Defenseman, who develop faster than Goaltenders; so, it wouldn't feel forced.
At the end of the 2025-26 NHL Regular Season, he could join the Ontario Reign for the AHL playoffs and play meaningful minutes in pursuit of a championship.

Eddie another awesome episode with Sebastian a very interesting and knowledgeable guest who I liked!
Amazing. DeBoer just threw his players under the bus publicly on his way out. Very professional…
Kings drafted great goalies too
