The Panthers looked off games 1 and 2 of the Leafs series. Take those out and they destroyed the Leafs.

The Panthers were +38 goals in the playoffs? That's disgustingly great…surprised the regulation losses stat didn't make the list. If the Panthers scored a goal, the game went to OT if they lost. That's 2 regulation losses this post season and both were shutouts.
I'm amazed the Leafs beat the champs back to back and went 7 games. That doesn't make them the 2nd best team though.

Steve, this take is wrong. The question is, why didn't Toronto do what Florida did and place players on long-term IR 😉, so we can put another $15-20 million on the cap to build that depth scoring for Game 1 of the playoffs? Three teams have done this over the past 5 years and won!

More importantly if the Panthers don't make the playoffs in 2023 or even if they get in but are eliminated by the Bruins they probably make different personnel and coaching decisions they mean they don't win back to back Cups.
