Tonight from San francisco, California Oracle Park, the home of the San francisco Giants. It is the Cleveland Guardians and San Francisco Giants in game two of this three game series for the Giants will be the veteran right hander Justin Verlander Verlander in his 20th year. He’s pitched very well. He has not had much luck in getting his first win as a giant. Perhaps tonight he will get one for the win. Manzo, the batter’s line drive right field, Yastrzemski on the move. I think he got caught the and that gets by him and goes to the fence and into second base is kyle Manzo with a double that. So play havoc right now for the right fielders. You can see this is a hanging breaking ball. Kyle Manzo did not miss this pitch. You can see it looks like he lost that pitch. So Cleveland looking to take an early lead with Jose Ramirez stepping in Ramirez with a base hit right center field. They’re going to wait Manzo homes up with the throw to second base and Manzo scores standing to give the Guardians a 10 lead. RB I number 35 for jose ramirez. Well, you heard it earlier, we talked about that breaking ball , another breaking ball left up in the strike zone. Jose is way too good of a hit to not execute your pitch. Can not try to do too much just getting the barrel. The bat to the baseball did a fantastic job right there and the runner goes and Bailey is going to get it and throw and they got him. Welcome back, Patrick Bailey. He’s got one of the quickest five times in all baseball on a strike will put down. The tag will challenge two outs. The way that I think that the Guardians, the Ramirez has 20 steals. He’s going to walk back into the Guardian’s dugout. He’s going to say, I thought I had that. Logan Allen looked pretty good his last time out with a little extra rest. We’ll see what he can do against the Giants lineup and two down and here comes Rafael 3 to 2 pitch. The 3 to 2 is swung on and missed strike three and a quick first inning for Logan Allen sets him down in order. Lane Thomas leads off the second for the Guardian 94 miles an hour blew it right by Lane Thomas first strikeout of the game for Justin Verlander. Now the pitch is swung on and missed changeup strikes him out first base runner for the Giants as casey Schmidt steps in swing and a miss elevated a fastball and Schmidt could not catch up to, it, couldn’t even spoil it second strikeout for Logan swing and a miss strike three tied him up inside. Chase this ball. It looked like it was about 67 inches inside off the plate. All hands are safe on an infield single by Bailey and Elliott Ramos steps in, swung on ground ball to short arias to the back for one. Steven to first double play two down at third. Now is Yastrzemski but a huge double play turn by the Guardians. Now Willie adam, he goes to right center and Nolan Jones runs it down to retire the side. So Logan Allen with three scoreless under his belt. Here’s Carlos Santana lined to center his first time up a hard hit ground ball to second by Fitzgerald and Santana beats it out. That looked like that might have come up on Fitzgerald there just at the last second, had to play it a little bit deeper route there in the short right center field. The error means a baserunner for the Guardian and Thomas las it in the center field. A base hit moving up 90 ft is Santana and the Guardians now have runners at 1st and 2nd with only one away. That’s his first career hit against Verlander. Daniel Siemen will step in, swung on and there’s a high fly ball deep left center field. This has hit a ton and that ball is gone home run. Daniel Schieman to the opposite field, a three run blast and Cleveland is now up 4 to 0. Another center cut fastball by Verlander who throwing at 94 can’t over power hitters right there like he used to Schieman made him pay down low ball four. Santana draws the walk and the Guardians now have runners on the corners and it looks like that’s it. As Bob Melvin makes his way to the mound, the night is done for Justin Verlander at 83 pitches. So Bivens comes in. His job is to get the Giants off the field without giving up a run here in there. Strike three called on the outside corner, fastball got him. Logan Allen working with that four run lead back to it for the Guardians. Struck him out. That changeup has been really good for Logan Allen bloop into shallow right center and it falls base hit on a changeup. Bailey dunks it in and he is two for two in his first game back from the injured list. And now here comes Elliot Ramos. There’s a high drive in the deep left center pard, a laser beam into the bleachers and way up into the bleachers for the Giants first two runs of the what a smash by Elliott Ramos. Elliott with his 12th home run of the year. Logan Allen comes back out for the sixth inning with a 4 to 2 lead facing rafael Devers to lead things off. He has a 4 to 2 lead here in the bottom of the sixth inning. Pops up in the shortstop. Arias reels it in for out number one. A pitching change will be made good work again by Allen. Another solid effort. He will leave with a lead Kate Smith on in relief for a second straight night, pitched a scoreless inning last night and it’s a one out base runner for the Giants with the Guardians in front 4 to 2 here in the seventh , the number nine hitter Patrick Bailey will come to the plate swing and a miss strike three by Bailey play the splitter that time, there’s two down in the inning swing and a miss strike three. They got him with the heat Ramos down on strikes side retired. We’re headed to the eighth, new pitcher on for the Guardian bottom of the eighth. It’s Tim Haren the lefty protecting a two run lead 4 to 2. Cleveland of the game. And now here is Rafael Debs, the possible tying run of the game. He has struck out, walked and popped out to shore. It’s swung on and lifted high in the air to left but not deep. Coming in is circling makes the catch retreating to first is Adamus centerfield and Lane Thomas calls off. He makes the catch for out. Number two. Don’t assume your partner’s got everybody converge and that swung on, popped him up foul territory on the infield, first base side. Manzo puts it away. And Haren does the, we are headed to the ninth on to pitch the ninth with a 4 to 2 lead. The 2 to 2 swung on line on a short hop grabbed by Sman and he’ll throw on to first in time for the out nice play by the guardian second baseman. Now do smith out of the dugout to pinch it for Tyler Fitzgerald at the left field. Kwan makes the catch two down and the Giants last hope is mike Jastrzebski, the grandson of a great car. Yastrzemski. Yes. And this is flipped into center field and he does his job. What does Dusty Baker say die hard? He’s been red hot. The called strike three and class does it again. So do the Guardians as they defeat the Giants tonight by a final score, a 4 to 2 and go figure time. Candiotti Allen against Verlander, the pitching matchup. And the kid out pitched the veteran. He certainly did. He looked outstanding out there to get a little help from his, from his buddies coming out of the bullpen and did a good job. Each guy that came in just did just as well as the guy before him. So it was a nice pitching night for the Guardians.
