The Corey Perry Invitational

AKA: “Congrats, Oilers! (2025)

Five Cup finals appearances in six seasons. Five consecutive Cup finals losses. Absolute pain.

If Perry didn’t win a cup in ’07, it would be even more agonizing.

  1. Imagine the Corey Perry Legacy of Failure had he lost in 07'

btw, when is the next Legacy of Failure?

  2. Toronto: Loses its 7th game 7
Oilers: Endures the Corey Perry Curse

Hockey in Canada just ain't working…

  3. 0:45 An all time record for a championship series and the Panthers honestly glided through the entirety of the playoffs on top of that. Prepare for a 3-peat, cuz it's comin.
Also, fuck Evander Kane. That cancer doesn't deserve to be a part of an elite squad like the Oilers. Send his ass elsewhere and pick up someone more professional.

  4. I hate it so much. I’ve rooted for his team every single time and the team loses. I hope Connor comes to the states so he can win a cup

  5. I love the Mario Golf 64 Mini Golf Music being used lol. Also smiled at the Wii sports Hole overview theme

  6. THIS JUST IN: Corey Perry has been announced as the new majority owner of the Buffalo Bills, making him the first active NHL player to own majority stake in a team from another sport.

[disclaimer, just to be super duper safe: this is a joke]

  7. Watching this the day after the cats won the 2025 Stanley cup I find it hilarious that the ad before the video was a ā€œvisit Edmontonā€ ad and it was hyping up the Oilers šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

  8. the worst team in the nhl should sign perry to see if he can get them to the invitational and then lose it all.

  9. Can't help but feel bad for the guy. That's a streak that no one wants. And he was a big contributor to the oilers run as well this year; that makes this worse.

  10. Same trajectory as Jan Ullrich in the Tour de France.

Won it once, finished second five times.

Beaten three times by [NAME REDACTED].

  11. Corey Perry lost to Tampa bay twice then joined them, only to lose to Colorado. After failing in round 1 with Tampa he left and ultimately joined oilers. Made 2 finals which he lost to a Florida team. This means this offseason, he shall join the Panthers only to lose it to a random team that sniffs playoffs but never does much. Love for Jets cause anybody but oilers is ok by me

  12. I hope you never retires and that one Quebec finally gets their team back. He plays for them. They’re inaugural season and they lose in the cup finals in seven games after having a 3-0 lead

  13. It’s not even Perry’s fault. Dallas and Montreal? They couldn’t beat the best goaltender in the world and ran out of gas in game 5 both times.
Tampa Bay? Great series, but Colorado was better at getting opportunities and converting.
And now Edmonton. They should have been swept the first time, but Florida took a nap for game four and five before losing a close game six. Then the Oilers and Panthers entree what looked like overtime for three periods before the Panthers eventually grasped their victory.
This year was somehow worse than that. First two games were great, then an amazing comeback by Edmonton- then Florida just decided to start double teaming Edmonton’s breakout and the Oilers had no response; no drive, no fight to win attitude. And letting the Panthers get I their heads. Game six- they gave up after the first period.

  14. its getting late, time for your girlfriends kids to get to bed, yep the ones that think you are a complete waste of skin….kids can be a pretty good judge of character. And you should probably get some sleep, that carpet laying job starts early tomorrow AM, likely not gonna make it as a popular youtuber, lets just face the facts early on!!!!

  15. This is just freaking sad bro. Someone please send him to Florida I’m tired of watching them steal trophies. In back to back years the classless cats confound by confiscating the cup from the Canadians.

  16. Triple gold club. Richard. 10 goals at 40 which is a record. Guy is a hall of famer. But still got his shit pushed in by Pasha.

  17. If you have Pat Maroon on your roster, you win. If you have Corey Perry, you don't. Simple as.

  18. The only thing more reliable than taxes and death is Perry losing in the Stanley Cup Final. And Edmonton, in its brilliance, paid for the privilege.
