Today at 11am Flyers General Manager Daniel Briere and VP/Assistant General Manager Brent Flahr will be with the Philadelphia media ahead of the 2025 NHL Draft.
WTF happened to the volume ? . . . Get a competent media person please. . . . Hate to complain but this is just crazy . . . the sound is always always always a problem.
Luca Sbisa, Cam York, German Rubstov, Sam Morin, Joel Farabee, Morgan Frost, Nolan Patrick, Jay O'Brien, Cutter Gauthier, Scott Laughton, Steve Downie. I mean your only two truly high 2nd overall picks since 2004 or 2005 have been JVR in a weak draft and Nolan Patrick? You can't go bust on around 50%(?) of your 1st round picks and think your legitimately drafting well. I'm not even including passing on Caufield for York. Passing on Werenski for Provorov. Passing on Makar and passing on Miro Heiskenen for Patrick. This team has one legit elite potential RW to build around. Organization had not even a chance at a Celebrini, Will Smith, Misa, Byfeild, Stutzle, Beniers, McTavish, Cooley, Fantiilli, W. Smith, Carlsson, or a Jack Hughes to play with Michkov. If you have no present or future 1C, 1D, 1G, or even a legit 2C in this organization why tf would you do anything but try to acquire top5 picks with legitimate elite potential. Philadelphia has had this HOLE at Center for YEARS while guys like Eichel and Reinhardt get traded. Hell even a Pinto or Zegras would've been an upgrade! But instead you traded Gauthier for Drysdale!? Another undersized hospital bed on the blue line who can't score and can't play defense? How was Zegras not the return for Gauthier? This team has had countess failed opportunities to grab top talent with high probability lottery picks in the draft during failed seasons where they needed to let this team bottom. Now SJ, Chicago, and Columbus look miles ahead of this rebuild already. But I'm sure glad we got 3 years of Tortorella "Culture" instead of three chances at top5/1st/2nd/3rd overall picks for elite talent to actually build a team around instead of signing middling (at best) bottom 6ers and drafting in purgatory year after year in spots devoid of the top end talent Philadelphia has lacked for over 10+ years now.

Ideal situation we get Frondell at 6 and move up from 22 for Aitcheson or Brady Martin.
Clueless, there isn`t a "best player available" at 6.. You could make the case for 10 different players to be drafted at 6.
