The high stick on Stetcher wasn't the little cross-checking high-hit in your still frame, it happened after that when they were separated and Verhege's stick swung around and smacked him clean in the visor. NO QUESTION about that one. However, Stetcher forgot to throw his head back and hands up like a shooting victim. If he does that, maybe there's a call. Either way, it was a blown (non)call.

Bruins fan here. Terrible officiating in this game! Looks like the NHL wants only American team$ to win the cup. I remember way back when, when the Bruins just could not catch a break against Montreal but now it's Canadian teams in general who cannot get fair treatment from the refs.
I am still skeptical that Edmonton will be allowed to win this cup – but I hope I am proven wrong.

Good golly will people shut up about the officiating. The panthers are just better at getting away with some borderline dirty play while the oilers are just so obvious (cough cough kane cough draisaitl). The oilers just seem tired and lazy although they really turned things around in the 2nd.
Feel bad for skinner but i was super impressed with edmontons coach for trying some things like going backup goalie and moving some bad performers down the bottom lines. Really respect him for taking those chances. The broadcasters didnt like the goalie move but i agreed, they needed a change and something to motivate them

Sadly as a Rangers fan they did not win the cup in 1950 despite Raleigh having the two overtime goals. They lost game 7 in double OT to the Red Wings.

It’s not a call because the Betman conspiracy theory is real. If the Panthers win this series I defy anyone to deny it in the light of the officiating. Every game in this series to this point has seen legit calls against the Oilers answered by illegitimate non-calls in favour of the Panthers. Every game, don’t talk to me, it’s real.

I don't care for either team, but there are quite a few players I dig, and many I don't care for, on both teams.
That said, whenever I hear people discussing the refs, I immediately dismiss 99% of the commentary because it's usually one-sided confirmation bias complaining that makes me think of drunken clowns yelling about their favorite sports team, and that's it. But when I start watching closely, armed with a bit of knowledge about the sport, a couple friends of mine were pro, along with a bit of on-ice experience of my own, and I am unable to remain skeptical about what the refs are seeing on the ice, then look over the comment sections on social media and see an overwhelming voice of dismay regarding the refs, I gotta begin to think Florida hockey (and likely other Florida sports) is probably owned by the mob. Shit refs are one thing, continually bias refs in a pro sport is something entirely different. And though one might say "who cares, fuck those fans", it stains the whole league, and spreads like the plague.
Need to start thinking about the online betting prominence in advertising. One might also note how researchers have been attempting to sound the alarm for a minute after studying countries who have slid into the dark ages due to gambling. Because murderous gangs fucking with your sports is how that shit begins ruining the shit we love, and can lead to far far worse problems in society.
