  1. FYI Shannon. It is pronounced Terr”AN”ce and I am good with this trade. Let’s hope he is healthy. Good power forward for not much at all. I don’t think Terrance makes the Ducks with all their prospects

  2. To be honest you need to upgrade to having some level of video. I USED to watch you Daily but I don't anymore because you always behind bug moves vs others channels

  3. I am not sure if Brett Leason wants to give up his #20 to Krieder even though Krieder is the more "senior" player age-wise. It will be interesting to see what number Krieder takes in Anaheim, assuming Leason is unwilling to give it up.

  4. So I don’t hate this trade, but for the rangers this is simply a cap dump, and Anaheim could have done better here than moving out a prospect and moving back in the draft. I think Anaheim should’ve gotten a second and given a 3rd or something

  5. I dont know why everyone seems to not like this for the rangers, they got rid of a ton of cap space

  6. Hey, remember when everyone wanted Kreider five years ago and the Rangers stubbornly held onto him? Well, five years and a poisoned rebuild later, they're now trading him to the first mark they can find. This is an example of why, if the previous core was known for endless self-induced failure, a team should strip everything to the studs and completely start over rather than hanging on to any of those veterans.

(Let's be real, though, the Rangers and Knicks both fail because James Dolan is a pox upon sports ownership. Sell the teams, buddy.)

  7. Kreider is a huge threat on special teams both ways: His speed makes him one of the top shorthanded threats in the league. If Kreider can bounce back, Anaheim reaps the rewards. However, it was time for the Rangers to move him. Best of luck to Kreider in Anaheim.

  8. Kreider's a year away from 75 points and 39 goals. Had a lot of injuries last year, including a broken hand, which is tough for a guy that relies on his net front presence. He played on a dysfunctional team (which I admit he was a part of) and his ice time cratered in the second half.

As a Rangers fan, I understand the need to clear cap space, but it doesn't feel like we're in a spot to use that space in a way that turns us back into contenders, so this one stings a lot. I'm also a bit high on a Kreider rebound this year. I don't think the 75 point/40 goal guy is coming back at 34, but I feel like it's pretty realistic the 50 point/30 goal marks he was around most of his career returns. Ducks gave up basically nothing except the cap, and it's only 2 more years on the deal anyway.

  9. The pick part of this trade seems so funny to me. Like did moving up 15 spots really make the difference in this deal

  10. Both Trouba and Kreider had Anaheim on their no-move list. What’s the point of even having such a list when you can be pressured/forced to waive it, even threatened to do so as we saw with Trouba potentially going to Columbus?

  11. Was Krieder the problem? Sure he looked a little invisible this season, but there's no way a team with that much talent should be missing the playoffs. Should be a coaching change.

  12. I have been a ducks fan for over 16 years. I hate this trade for so many reasons. #1 we have so many young guys to resign and yes we have cap space but after you consider who we have to resign this year and next year then no we don't really have cap space. It is projected that our resign amount is around 40-45 mil. Now we are down to 32 mil. So maybe we don't resign Trouba? who knows. #2 We already have enough veterans to teach our young core. We keep trading for so many veterans to the point our young core wont get any ice time. We showed improvement last year, so why not stick to what is working. #3 ENOUGH with the left side. Left wingers, left shooters, even our defensemen are almost all left side. We don't need anymore, most of our AHL is left sided as well. #4 NYR made bad contract signings that didn't work out, so the ducks just give them a free out each time with no premium charge . So now the NYR get free cap space that cost them nothing. For this trade I gave the ducks a F and for the NYR I gave a B+. NYR free up cap space, got a slightly better draft pick, a low end prospect, the ducks got a later pick and filled 0 needs. All they did was take on more cap space. They didn't need more veterans, they didn't need left side, so this didn't solve any of their issues.

  13. My husband and I are BC alumni and we were so excited when Kreider first joined the Rangers. I understand why they did this, but we're also sad!
